- Discussion about the live action drama Father of Light thing

- Eorzea cafe ( the physical cafe in japan)
- Jump potions, this is the first thread with a debate that I've seen there. It's a lot more organized than our threads on the subject but there's absolutely nuance here I can't pick out myself

I can only recall from when someone last went in to prove it's not 900% sunshine, but you have to read the threads themselves and not just go zoom by the titles - since they build on threads a lot more than we do. Our Threads Per Second is impossible to gauge! Heh. MOAR TPS~!

Of course to add we also have a lot more diversity and people in general so expect hive to be lower and disagreement to be higher. It would only be logical for our side to be a bit more fiery, if it wasn't that'd be serious questions for the more likely to be homogeneous group. People call it the US boards sometimes but that's a mistake its the English boards, with anyone who can speak English - even Japanese come here to post/read (as some posts reveal).

Was also told anon boards are more common to rage because then their name isn't associated and that's more of a concern vs here. Can't judge you in game for saying you like some casual noob content~~! lol

2ch is where people tend to let all of their negativity out, the ff xiv board is here http://ff14net.2chblog.jp/ . That place is a mess to navigate with as little as I can actually understand and their heavy use of slang. I usually go through the @wiki and amazon jp reviews to find unrestrained opinions for other jrpg fandoms. https://www26.atwiki.jp/gcmatome/pages/3064.html https://www60.atwiki.jp/ff14lore/pages/336.html might have the dirt for ff xiv specifically but actually figuring out how to go through them would take a bit.

Edit: Seems like their negative term for FF XIV is ギスギスオンライン / Gisgis Online but I'm really not sure what that's a reference to. The dictionary I checked said gisgis can mean Brooding · discord · Bad relations · Bad balance · I made a bad guy. · I was disappointed. · Water and oil · Dog monkey's relationship · Gisgis · Cold War State · The worst partner

I honestly just think he was having a rough day. All the travel, questions, time spent on SB already, etc.

He's allowed a few off days, given how much time he and his team have put into the project. That, and it gets annoying having to explain and repeat information when people whine about difficulty getting this or doing that. If it's too hard, complaints. If it's too easy, complaints. Re: about Japanese criticism of the game earlier. I went through 2ch for a while and found a good summary of complaints from their PoV of things, I'll do my best to translate up to 63 (my Japanese is horrible I really just know how to find stuff). I'm subbing out gisgis with salt where it comes up because the terms are more or less the same. I'm leaving the ones I don't know how to approach in Japanese. Here's a straight google translate of the full list for those interested. Please note, I do not agree with all of these ^ ^u don't shoot the messenger
