People telling me how to play healer

I'm getting really sick of people telling me how to play AST. I have been kick numerous times from DF because apparently as a HEALER I have to use my cards. I don't understand, I'm a healer, here to HEAL. Why should I be forced to use cards to buff the party? Yoshida even said in the Q&A that healers should mainly focus on healing.
Please stop this elitism!!

Not to be rude, but there is more to healing with AST then just healing. If you really just want to heal use WHM and you will have less complains. Key word LESS. Healing jobs also have support rotations which are essential to party to help. AST is more of a Support / Healer. It's like asking a PLD not to use shield oath, or a DRK not to use grit. It's a must. For AST cards are a must. So take it as an advice and practice them, learn how they work and believe me you will wish timer on them would cool down faster.

yes, your sub. you can play all you want WHEN/HOW you are SOLO. Now you are going in a group with random people. NOW you are interfering with their sub so you better adapt to what the majority of subscribers are asking you to do cuz it is now NOT ONLY your sub and your money

I'm sorry but if all your doing is healing on a Job that does more than that, then your not really using the full potential of your class. Healing on a Healer class is basic, everybody knows that and everybody could do that, but to go beyond that is what would make you a much better player, understanding all your skill's and when to use them is what separates people who "does his job" from those who "does his job very well".

I never played AST, but I changed main to a WHT, and sure I can just stand there and just pop heals all day long, unit I found out that by cure combined with Medica II and regen is quite a kick ass way of healing, not to mention by helping with DPS with cleric stance makes the fight go on shorter, which means more saved MP, also I can mitigate some damage by using sleep on low level dungeons.

I'm just saying, AST is just not just for Healing there are other things that class can do.
