That isn't actually true. It's mainly because the type of questions that most people hate are generally most of the time from Balmung. I mean the question on the bunny outfit was from Balmung and someone put it on reddit and they ripped them apart for it.
That routes back to balmung being the largest server, more people are on it so more questions come from it and even if the questions were random balmung would still get more questions due to the amount submitted, regardless if they good or bad question that people like.
After seeing that panel, his facial expressions and answers..I have a new found respect for him. At least he hates cleric stance and feels that healers should heal...
Also, as someone who is in a similar position as him (people who don't know you constantly judging you) I'd say he handles himself quite well. Everyone has their breaking point...he looked stressed.
He sort of has to do what I do, get up in front of people and well..while I just act out lines, he has to interact with people. I highly doubt many people can handle that. He has to watch what he says, its not a speech presentation and its not acting..he has to answer random questions and deal with a lot of...difficult types of people, but he does it, and he usually does it with a smile. Anyway..yea, try to just be a little bit more understanding...
I honestly thought he seemed more relaxed and peppy. He was at a show that wasn't focused only on FF14 so (I assume) he had a chance to roam around and enjoy himself a bit.
Damned for whatever you do, international flak from thousands daily regardless of what you do, stress of managing hundreds of lives, people whose only concern is money and not the game breathing down your neck, I wouldn't be surprised it's a job that can easily burn you out - like burn into your soul levels.
Of course I think people should be able to have issues and reasonably explain them (no swearing/flaming needed), but even if valid it's a burden someone can easily take to heart and so you may see an Atlas come and go.
I think the team has done extraordinarily well from where they came, so I hope they can find solace in their journey and player's love - I feel if they keep their spirit that gave them the strength to start over that FFXIV can definitely be an MMO for the ages. Hope to see them keep eyes out for other game's mistakes and triumphs (not suggesting 24 7 copy lol), and hopefully be able to improve theirs and their own.
Anyway I did notice he seems like "none of you are on the same page" which is probably fairly accurate lol.
If they're experiencing the crunch they are all under serious stress. That said I didnt think he's done with us but I'm sure now is very busy and stressful, and his job is inherently already so. I think we still have time with our Atlas.
Be well Yoshida and team ❤️.

Funny I always see it as the casual, "it's to haaaard", "But I don't waaaant tooooo <insert just about anything here>", "It take sooooo loooooong", "I shouldn't haaaave toooooo...." minority as being the ones who want to dictate the direction that everyone wants to go.
It's the more hardcore that ask for more long term goals, challenging content and expanded goals and its the vocal minority who want to trash it to the ground because they cannot do A B or C in a single 30 minute sitting, may not be able to do a single piece of content because it's not designed specifically for their work/life schedule or Twelve forbid, actually have to do something with other ppl in an mmo.
But then when SE caves and the more hardcore react they are the bad guys.

He is probably just sick and tired of hearing the same damn question over and over again in every event ever. He should just have a piece of paper with the written response to that that he hands out to people who ask it so he can avoid the headache.
Yea he handles himself well seeing how the people that play the and mainly the people here on the forums act. If he came out and said yes healers should be dpsing and we going to start factoring that into battles people would be cheering him on going "see yoshi-p says you bad if you don't dps as healer" now I didn't see the actual stream or w/e him saying about cleric stance but it sounds like he saying he don't like cleric stance and healers shouldn't be forced to dps as much as the community pushes healers to do but with that comment people also come out (probably the same one would be cheering him if made other decision) saying oh that he sucks and they don't care what he thinks and that he out of touch with the game. So he screwed pretty much no matter what he says so I could see what he not in the best of mood.
I'm more inclined to crack it up to plain workload - they're probably not working a healthy 40 hour week. In one of the interviews someone else linked in another thread here on GD he said he'd like to give his team another break again and they probably need it. When was the last holiday? A year ago?
