I280 weapons were a mistake

But I keep seeing these post pop up and Im still wondering who does this benefit at all, and to me its basically nobody. It doesn't benefit raiders, doesn't benefit midcore players like myself , and it certainly doesn't benefit casual players who dont even need a 280 weapon.

It benefits SE's bottom line. Keeps players subbed during the pre-expac lull with the chance of a nice carrot at the end of the stick.

It benefits me, personally as a FC leader, to keep my members engaged and allowing us one more thing to do as a group.
