Diadem weapons require more skill to get than relic weapons, so in my opinion relic grinders don't get to complain.

ya, Ive seen the mission pop twice in 6 runs and it failed twice at the 2nd phase :hmmm:
instead of wasting 200 hours in diadem to get a respectivly useless weapon, I could grind 3 275 relics in the same time
"It doesn't affect me so it's ok"Ok, for the very small portion of speed runners i agree, so farm it, since thats your thing, but op stated the balance is broken in the game, which isnt by no means.
I just did the math using dervy's values, the whm cane from the other thread and my whm i275 anima, diference of 7%, ok, for speedrunners it will affect, but yes, stating that the balance is broken overall is just too much drama.
That's the thing the favourable stats don't matter due to the weapon damage and the main stats. Also from the ones I have seen none really look that bad. Also majority are mainly annoyed that it came 9days later/should of been same time as Anima. Same with Proto - Ulitma, Dun Scaith was still new and they plonk a new boss into it. Why dont they replace bosses in old content to encourage people to go back into them instead of content we are already doing. Maybe start introducing scalable dungeons with the mobs changing depending on peoples ilvl. Players could set the ilvl of the dungeon before entering it.

You missed the point I was trying to make though, and that's that any given individual will likely never see one of these weapons. They're for the lucky few. Even for those in the speedrun community I imagine it'll be a long while before anyone that does speedruns will get a weapon for their main job, if they ever do before the expansion. The problem is that if they do then it skews the leaderboards. But the argument that it nullifies all the progress on a relic I feel is moot. There will only be a select few with these weapons and chances are it won't make them any better than people with relics. It's nothing to be so upset about. That's the thing the favourable stats don't matter due to the weapon damage and the main stats. Also from the ones I have seen none really look that bad. The thing I'm most upset about is having to redo parse and speedskill times but even still it's whatever, that was going to happen when echo came into effect anyway.
The chance that either of us get the weapon that we want, regardless of stats, is roughly 0.05% per diadem. There's no point getting so upset about it.

Still, relic exists to help people get a good weapon in mid-patches. Last step was fast and easy to get, and it gave you a better weapon than A12S itself.
My point is; who cares.
Non-raiders will get a 280 weapon thay they won't use for raiding.
People who is raiding now and can't reach enough DPS even with Relic, will get a chance with a 280 weapon (wich isn't given out for free, you have to actually farm it and get it soon/late depending on your luck).
And people who already completed the raid even before relic, they have an achievement with a date stamp, plus the mount etc.
Being materialistic in a diagonal-progression game is just wrong. If you're materialistic, you should aim other games with horizontal progression such as FFXI.

Should either:
A. Stop raiding
Or
B. GET FREAKIN GOOD
This applies to creator more than any other tier. People beat this in THREE DAYS WITH 255/250 GEAR. People who lack the skill to clear with TWENTY higher levels should NOT be given handouts while the tier is still relevant. Yes, it's still relevant because echo is not applied and it's still loot locked out

Does not. I didn't change my goals of get all the Animas. I don't like gear or weapons with random stats. That's why I cannot stand on games like Phantasy Star Online or Diablo and I don't go Diadem. I prefer custom weapons like Anima.

Yeah, the drama on these weapons is really silly. I'm working toward the i270 stage of my relic right now, and I'm not at all mad about these random i280 weapons. Why? Because it doesn't affect me. I did two runs of Diadem last night, got my baby pegasus minion. It is not fun. I did not enjoy the time I spent in Diadem at all. So, at this point I will only go back if I want to gather or try and get the baby dinosaur minion.
I could not stand how they made certain parts blocked off, only to be entered by landing and using an aetherial gate. Then once inside, all flying is disabled. The Fates weren't anything fun or special. People AFKing just waiting for certain things to pop was super dull. Overall, it was not a fun or engaging experience.
I would guess most people will get sick of trying and give up before they ever get one of these i280 weapons. And if you're determined enough to keep farming Diadem for the tiny chance of getting one of these to randomly drop in your inventory, then so be it.
people need to realize that this game has become casual friendly. I remember when ponies were like .001% drop rate xD then alot of people started complaining about its taking too long or how raids used to take months to clear and not days. Now it seems like everything is easy to get for most people.. look at the minion reward for pvp .. people complained about how its not fair to only give top 10 the minions .. but now anyone can obtain them.. so its like what do you want from S.E? the right thing is the wrong thing? and the wrong thing is the right thing?
