I remember the majority of old diadem gear being utter garbage that scrubs used to try to get into ex farms even when it was relevant, but we'll see.

Diadem is basically ... hunts. How much time or effort is there really?
Yes there will be RNG, so has every damn Relic in this game.....
I highly doubt they will make the weapon harder to obtain then raiding or Relic as none would bother going back/trying Diadem.
Also if the weapon is higher weapon dmg and ilv this is a big kick to the face for many of us.

I undestand why people are mad about it , as anima/alex wep should be bis, but honestly i dont see them(weapons) so gamechanging compared to 275 anima, im more motivated to do diadem for hunting hawk, 60M in my server , they still drop right?

Disappointed. They should have dropped 280 weapons at a later date, not less than 2 weeks from the final anima step dropping.

The chance of you getting the weapon is low sure, but that is beyond the point.

Except for the fact that A) Yoshi himself said Relic would be BiS so kiiiiind of lied a little bit
B) This kind of gear progression encourages people with more time than ability to get 'BiS' and carry on dragging down farm groups...
C) Your analogy was hilariously bad because the difference is so few people would have bothered with relic at all if they'd been told 'don't worry, by the time it's actually BiS it wont be BiS'.

Hunting Hawks drop from any of the fates now. Apparently, people are getting them like candy. If you don't get one farming, just hold out for a week or so and they'll be up for 100k.
