Soo... apparently Diadem has i280 weapons with higher WD than alexandrian/anima lux

Weapon damage above everything for most classes. 2 weapon damage is going to trump any spread of secondaries, even if its short a few.

275 with best stats vs a 280 with trash stats but +2 wd we have to see.

I would wait and see. After all the drop rate of such a weapon might be abysmally low. Plus Datamining is against the ToS and while SE knows it happens they probably aren't going to be fond of people talking about it in the General Forums.

True, in the longterm the anima was always just going to be neat glamour that might save us a small hassle when starting the next relic.

Well the point is that if stuff like this is real, it just craps on everyone doing progress still or just recently finished. When expansion or new raid tier is officially released, its one thing to have your hard earned gear replaced. But to drop something like this, mid cycle and on some side fluff content, is just a slap in the face. A lot of diadem stuff previously was broken and diadem 2.0 has not sounded much different, lol. Guess we'll see.

Keep in mind we don't have all the information yet. The new weapons could be so rare that hardly anybody ever sees them.
I don't think they will be, but people should hold complaints until they know all the details of the thing they are complaining about.

For what it's worth, I wouldn't mind if the IL 280 weapons are easy to obtain, and I will still collect more finished anima weapons just because I enjoy playing the game and collecting things. If I can get IL 280 weapons for all of my jobs, that just makes me happy because I can play any jobs I want in the highest content even sooner without feeling gimped compared to my main jobs.

I would be slightly ok with this if it was like a month, maybe two before Stormblood, I would still hate it immensely. But I would accept it. But right now its just way to damn early to invalidate work like this. The anima quests just finished. I haven't been this disappointment in the dev team in a very long time.
Fine pack the place full of 270 armor/accessories, whatever, but weapons a line is being crossed. A really crappy one.
