Idm the same formula. I do mind SE wanting to lower everything's difficulty to make their game casual. I don't pay FFXIV to play a casual game I could play a F2P for that, there's even the same unecessary cash shop.

The better question is what is actually better, I feel like Ive tried my hand at other mmos, blade in soul, guild wars 2, swtor, tera, eso, I mean other than wow what else is out there. I think if you quit this game because of how it is I doubt that youd find much enjoyment in any other mmos with a smaller fan base and even less updates but I could be wrong. I look up top tens all the time of mmos, and this game kept me when those others didnt so Im def not going anywhere despite the games flaws.
If you look at the top ten it only shows the populars ones. It's better to look at smaller ones.
I'd probably leave yeah, wouldn't get all salty about it or anything but doing the same things over and over gets boring. If I'm bored and slowly playing less and less why would I keep paying?
Clearly if the formula hasnt changed by now, it wont. This just is how FFXIV is. Take it or leave it.
So yes, I will be staying, primarily because I love the story and love leveling up my characters.
I'll definitely stay. While I would welcome a new progression system, I wouldn't want it if it's not guaranteed to be "better", and I'm not even sure what "better" means.
I don't really play FFXIV for its progression, I play it because I enjoy the core gameplay of combat and crafting, and because I'm a huge lore nerd and I find Eorzea (and soon the rest of Hydaelyn) absolutely beautiful in so many ways.

Im aware of this I know its plenty of normal games but as far as the mmorpg genre who gives more updates who gives more content than this game. The game I was playing heavily swtor before this one, counted on you making alts to keep playing instead of delivering content like this one does. Thats why was asking op if he doesnt like the things he mention about this mmo then maybe an rpg would be better because I really dont see other mmos with as much to do as this one.
What other MMOs do is irrelevant regarding the OP's question as he didn't asked "will you still be playing or chose another MMO ?".
If FFXIV is not fun for me anymoe, and all other MMO are worst, then I'll use my time to do plenty of offline games. Which is what I intend to do with my "Play one month, suspend till the next major patch" cycle.
It doesn't have to be "better". "Different" and "alongside the current system" is enough for me. People tend to say that players will always chose the fastest content, but if it makes me overdose on that content, I'd happily take a slower route once in a while.
