If the formula is still the same during stormblood will you still be playing or leave

You shouldn't let if others choose to quit or play dictate or influence whether or not you still want to play the game and be in it. Why is it that if others play or not, does that concern you?

It isn't always as easy at times saying that depending on situations. My friend has valid health issues that I never know what will happen tomorrow. They love this game due to it's slower pace. My own opinions of this game aside I can't deny them their enjoyment as that would be wrong of me. So I agreed for them I would re-sub because I want to spend as much time with them as I'm able too and I want to help soften the blow of putting up with randoms in content, to give them someone they can trust and pay attention in content. My friend deserves that much to enjoy what he enjoys and if giving an hour or so of my time to help with dungeons and content then that's time well spent to me. That said I'll stay subbed if things stay the same. I'm numb to it all already, I only play to help give my friend a brighter day and time.

I'll be staying. I like new things but with a strong core of familiarity. That's what I'm expecting out of Stormblood.

And even if it isn't new, I'd still be playing. When I look at the disaster that is swtor, this game is miles ahead in doing what it does best.

I'm a sucker for Final Fantasy, of course i'll be staying, even if Yoshi P came out and said that I smell like poop i'll still play.

Staying. I'm fine with the formula as it currently stands and I still haven't done 100% of the things that have been added. The addition of new content and expanded features in 4.0 will probably only tighten FFXIV's grip on me.

There's also just a lack of options that I'm interested in, in the MMO genre that will keep me subscribed to FFXIV for some time. I'm hooked to MMOs (and Final Fantasy) and absent some big AAA revival of City of Heroes, I don't see myself wading into other waters.

i'd still be playing. like others have said, it's a common thing on MMO's to expand upon the same things and not completely reinvent the whole formula. that said, i'd love to see completely new things too and im not against having a new system for gearing/combat/etc.

I'll play through the story and then unsub until enough patch content has been release to warrant a month of play time. After 2.x and 3.x I just don't find the content is fun to reply at nauseum.
I play FF14 for the narrative.

I'll be staying. The game isn't perfect but no game is or ever will be frankly. I take what the game offers and enjoy it. Its not like the sub is a particularly large expense. I get my money's worth.
