People assume one who's got more time than another will easily get to top100 just because one can play all day long. Have you ever been to the higher tier in The Feast? Do you realize that people up there can drop very hard and easily? I myself almost got to diamond and then went on a losing streak. Dropped 400 points and never recovered. The time I have put in was quite alot and that's coming from a raider who's got everything down but A8S. I haven't got the top100 mount because yes, in solo there's luck involved in who you get and I have had alot of silver tier healers and other bad people. Let alone doing bad myself. Yet, in season 4 I will compete again and do better myself and earn the top100 mount. Not by getting x amount of kills/assists/wins because this is not a grind. I will earn it by being better and if more people had such attitude, then said luck would be decreased as you get better people too.
In The Feast group we fought the top10 people and got beaten up badly but we continued, improved and succeeded.

Well, in tying the mount to # of kills - one would hope that players would inevitably get better and more skilled at PVP as well, to give them the confidence to want to compete. True, not everyone can win, but this is a game - it's meant to have fun with. Locking rewards out with exclusivity and a skewed balance and no rank decay is not fun. Nor is it much of a competition.

I think the mount should be able to be obtained in another way. Whenever I tried queuing for ranked feast last season the queues were long over 60 min most of the time, which prevented me from doing the content. A suggestion would be have it a obtained by a number of wins in feast.

Wow how is possible that i see some people in top 100 withh 500 600 700 games and u get 1 game every 60 minutes :S maybe u started queue last 2/3 days of the season ( 4 month lenght)

On Chaos we had like instant queues even during the blind week (last week of the season).

I play tank and maybe a lot of people play tank but anyway the queues for me were always 60+ min I tried doing this almost every week it first week last week and in the middle a lot but was out but there was never enough queuing for it to get a quick match. I had a good win percentage too 19 wins 4 losses something like that but the queues just were way too long to do this.

If I told you your choices to gear up in Stormblood - is either raid, or do hunts, and that you'll receive the same reward no matter what, at the same time, how many people do you think will still raid? THAT is what I'm trying to get at here.

Your analogy here is garbage because the situations aren't even close to the same. Vanity mounts =/= gear with stats on them that influence other content. People aren't asking for 2 methods to obtain the same thing at the same time, but simply an alternative method to obtaining something to come at a later date. It's entirely different. If you get the Feast season one first, you have it for some time before other people can get a chance to get it by another means. It's entirely fair as every other type of content does the exact same thing.

SE has already established a precedence for this with PvP. We used to have PvP gear that had rank requirements on it, then over time those sets had their requirements lowered, until ultimately it was entirely abolished on top of the cost of pvp gear being significantly reduced. They also made the top 10 season 3 reward minions available by another means, so it's already in the game, the concept for this. They wanted minion collector's to be able to get the minions still, and the same argument can be used for mount collector's now.

I'm probably never going to run Alexander: Midas, but I deserve the rewards from it because I pay to play as well right? I should have the A4S mount too because I almost cleared A3S way back when, and my skills are on par with someone who did, thanks to PvP. I don't want to do those raids, I just want to PvP, but I deserve those raid rewards because I'm just as good as anyone who did clear it, and it's all old content now anyways, right? I shouldn't HAVE to run it, just let me have the reward. That's not unreasonable, right?

After time you can get all of those things with absolutely minimal effort anyways, with gear and increased levels, you can go in and steamroll the content and get it anyways. People can go in and duo T12 Coil and get all the rewards for no effort.

Again you seem to think people are asking for free handouts when they're not. You're overexaggerating with terribly weak analogies. This same mindset of yours can be used for raiders working hard to get their gear, and then 6 months later it's trivial to get.

You'd have a timed exclusive, that later people would still have to earn through PvP of some means.

fact is be a nice way to get it some other way as got people who come late to the season or even when they give it their best can't score in the ranking needed and those mostly cause they solo que and out of 10 match's they win maybe 3 of them.

Be much better they did a smarter thing like 100player on YOUR Realm not the data center as some of them got more then 1 max pop realm and their the ones normally in the top 100.
