You keep trying to tell us how to spend our time efficiently. We are the ones multitasking. We are getting tome gear for our main. Lore tomes. And gc seals. And you are..... running expert over and over trying to gear your off class? Hoping that rng favors you with a drop that you can't roll need on. And hoping that noone rolls need on it. And hoping you beat any greed rolls. How long you figure that'll take you. Adding a greed only won't help you. It will only hurt you if you decide to run on the class that could use it. Tome gear. Dunscathe. Alex i250. In 2-3 weeks i245 gear will be outdated for one class and you can move onto the next.
I need them for desynthesis, GC seals, which I need for crafting housing stuff for my FC house/private house (<3), and (most improtant reason comming in!!!) glamour. ^^
Btw this is how you answer a question. Not with asking another question to sneak around giving an answer. Now it's your turn. What do you need them for so badly?
I am wondering how a post can be covered by someone else if I ask you something directly? xD
Well, I am fighter, not crafter in the first place, so I run dungeons/trials/raids to get my stuff. ^^ Feel free to do it differently, but please don't put your playstyle on me. Thank you.for mats ARF for lore cap (if you don't have it already) -> Hismena(? -the NPC in the middle in Rowena's place in Idyllshire). Check the MB first (demand and prices are low). only thing you'll want to get yourself (or have someone craft in my case) is the dissolvents, but that depends on your server's prices anyways.

Incidentally when I am actually low level and Needing on something in a level-appropriate dungeon it's always 100% for glamour as it's rare that I'll be that level for more than an hour or so anyway, and there are so many easy ways to get almost-free low level gear that I've never once felt in desperate need for anything. Dungeons in the game aren't so cripplingly difficult that missing a couple of item levels here and there actually matters in the vast majority of cases so long as you have a decent weapon and can smash through monsters fast enough.
If you want something on a job badly, it makes perfect sense to try to raise your chances by actually playing that job instead of leaving everyone to guess your motives. If someone comes on DPS and suffers a longer queue and job they don't enjoy as much to help you with content, they have earned a right to use that Need button unless they agreed not to in party chat. If everyone relies on Greed without talking (why don't people talk?) then you're competing with people who don't really want stuff at all and only rolling to stop it dropping to the floor and being wasted, which is exactly what I am doing when I Greed. If I'm going to keep it forever as a much-loved glamour piece, I'm rolling Need.
No idea tbh. The chances are not gonna be the same.
You have 4 other dps in 8man groups, the chances of multi classes is much higher ontop of still needing to have the gear drop in the first place. I can see it being pretty simlilar for tanks and healers though, but ofc thats just one of the perk of those roles.
I wouldn't expect one tbh. I've asked what job is the current system unbalanced for and which one/ones has no access to need on gear drops.
Not gonna get a response to that question coz it's the major flaw in the argument being presented. Much easier to brush over it and pretend it wasn't actually asked.

Pretty harsh calling it useless and skewed then if you don't have any idea how it actually goes.No idea tbh. The chances are not gonna be the same.

I think one of the most important things of that chart was to show that the current system favors tanks and healers. I'd prefer things to be so that everyone has an equal shot at junk loot.
Glad to see we reach an agreement: Enable the "Need" button for all loot and for everyone in the party irrespective of job/class.
Since you are opting for a sub-par method for your own needs (seals etc), why are you so concerned with the utility of that method to others?
I don't see how any of the alternatives you proposed devalues others' claims against your "need". You may as well consider an alternative for yourself before demanding others to adjust.

That can't really happen though without individual loot drops which in turn will not happen because they want people running content.Pretty harsh calling it useless and skewed then if you don't have any idea how it actually goes.

Can't really adjust loot to different roles neither can you give a better chance of getting x loot to more popular jobs at the expense of those who enjoy playing the less popular ones. It's just something people need to accept if they chose to play a job that is commonly played across the playerbase.
Rich coming from someone who's telling everyone to "adjust" their playing routines to match your own.Since you are opting for a sub-par method for your own needs (seals etc), why are you so concerned with the utility of that method to others?

Urm others have the exact same method available to them, it's your fairytale that they don't.

I feel it goes both ways. On one hand, you'll never have so many rivals to contend with as a healer or tank. On the other, since all healers/tanks share dropped gear, you have a higher chance of needing to out-Need the other healer/tank in every run you do for 8-man+ content (ignore tanks if it's a single tank instance), whereas it's entirely possible to be the only caster/ranged physical DPS etc in an entire run at times and get your pick of the loot every time it appears while four Monks fight over their allocation. I usually end up completing my BLM 8-man glamour sets before my WHM sets.
