We were already asked to invest in this game once before, now we are being asked to invest in it again, not even knowing what the future holds for those that do. Sure we have a vague roadmap (which is a few pages long and left mostly up to imagination to fill in the gaps) but who is to say any of this will even make it to release for Version 2.0? Won't we be played for fools if V2.0 doesnt live up to the hype/expectation? SE doesn't have a good record with keeping their promises.
We've been fooled once, now are meant not only to invest our money, but also our trust that they won't repeat the failure.
We are asked to pay now, but the game may not even pay off in the long run. What I am trying to say is that it might not be a wise return on our investment. Some people say we will be getting a lot of stuff inbetween now and October next year, but many people have been playing (and many not) a broken game for the past year. Now that it is approaching some semblage of playability, players are supposed to forget that they still havent played a good game yet, despite the promise that they were getting one when they bought it.
If anything, the developers probably owe everyone a Version 2.0, and until they can give that to players, they probably shouldn't get player's money. We were already fooled once. Does SE really want to risk the aftermath of fooling everyone twice?
