Wow we can attach images!
Is that called Fury's Gate or Fury's Eye? I can't remember, all I remember is waiting for sunset/sunrise for something amazing to happen and it never did! For example, I thought the sun would set behind it creating an aura/god's ray through the hole... but nope!
As for which areas I would like them to keep, well it's hard because I like everything they've made. I love the pale cliffs and rolling fields in La Noscea, so I hope that La Noscea retains it's M.O. when version 2.0 hits. I also like everything about Thanalan (except for how empty it is) so I do hope it retains its sense of self too. I love the trees in Gridania, including the white tree (which is staying according to the images I saw), and also the huge tree (if you know the one I'm talking about).
The wharf besides The Mirror in The Black Shroud is also nice, as well as the lakes in Coerthas.
I like the dungeons in all three regions (thanalan, shroud, La Noscea) even the ones you have to plane-hack to see. The underground, sulfuric lakes in Coerthas are amazing too if you can get to them.
I just like everything. If they can downsize everything but still retain everything and bring it within walking distance, that would be ideal.

It's called treespark for a reason, I guess.
No.
Mor Dhana and Thanalan are the only places I even remotely feel attached to. Thanalan is exactly how a SAVANNA (it is NOT a desert, but a savanna) does look (the only thing that should be changed is that Ul'dah should NOT look like such civilized town and instead should be more wild and have no paved roads whatsoever), and Mor Dhana has a realistically different look. If they want to split them up into smaller zones, such as West/East Thanalan which should require traveling through Ul'dah and split Mor Dhana into two smaller zones (Northern Mor Dhana and Southern Mor Dhana), that'd be fine.
cant think of a fav location. however i hope they add a jungle like place like the one in the movie Avatar.
I was once lucky enough to snag a great pic of the drake/airship in Mor Dhona.

They'l be changing the zones to make them less repetitive and more "alive", this doesn't mean that they'l change how each zone looks entirely. You'l still get your savana but it won't be made up of the same copy/pasted terrain and empty fields.No.

The zones are currently near-empty wastelands populated with monster groups. In old-school MMOs this was adequate, but I'm fairly certain that the guys at SE talented enough to come up with much better stuff now that they're changing engine.

I was replying to someone's response which was "Seriously?" with MY reasons for picking Mor Dhana and Thanalan. (If you want to use the term wasteland, that's what I consider Gridania and the age-old "jungle/forest" scenery used in TBS.)
