I think we need at least the AH history and average median price, It will help newer players understand the market, but I do understand your worry.Hmmm, I'm not so sure, but I'm looking at it from a crafter's PoV. The more accessible a history is the more price wars go on. Eventually it gets to the point where it is all but impossible to make income from crafting. FFXI had this problem and I believe the AH history and even FFXIAH itself was a major factor in it.
I realize it is a delicate balance. However, crafting is my favorite part of FFXIV. If it got to the point where it was near impossible to make a decent profit doing so, like XI did (at least compared to other forms of income such as farming), I probably would lose all interest in the game.
Also "sale" and "sell" are two different words. You might want to learn when to use them correctly.
In patch 1.20 they're adding buying from the search screen and a previous 20 price history, so it will be similar to FFXI's AH system.
