I dislike vanity systems, for the simple reason that our gear should be sufficiently customizable that we shouldn't be ashamed to wear it.

I agree but this is more focused on gear that is simply BUILT for vanity such as: santa hat/pumpkin hat/etc so the request for vanity slot isn't directly in light of lackluster gear =/.

I don't understand how people can really be against it, to be honest. I mean, it has no bearing on the game other than pure enjoyment for people who wish to use it. Plus, I'd really like to not be the big beige nightmare I am at the moment. Ugh. The starter clothes one can buy are simply hideous and I've been working my butt off to be able to craft some better stuff, but then I have to take up damn near every craft to do that.
Vanity slots FTW!

The main reason I'm against it, personally is because I don't need to see Gladiator/Paladins tanking in Coatee sets for example -- Yes the game is fantasy, but there's a fine line between fantasy and just silly lol.
Look at the title lol =P. We are talking about HEAD slot not full body vanity.
People seemed to have changed the topic of the thread themselves. I'm only proposing helm slot for vanity since this would avoid the "silly factor" that people may fear and a lot of seasonal gear is head concentrated.

I'm referring to the vanity system in general as that was where my response was to (since the poster I replied to was referring to the whole set of slots). Head slots I don't mind so much, because we can already hide them so wearing whatever display for a helm wouldn't be much different because a lot of helms in this game are a bit..bulky in a sense, especially on females.
