New theory about Zetsuken

Oooh you might be on to something there. Can't check now but I'm pretty sure the Odin minion (or maybe card?) says that rumour is, the sword was claimed by Odin after defeating an Au'ri warrior, who of course come from the Far East.

Odin Minion: "Many have pondered why a Dark Divinity with roots in northern mythology would wield a blade with a decidedly Far Eastern name. A popular theory is that Odin acquired the blade upon slaying an Auri warrior who was the first ever to notch his theretofore unsullied blade."

Odin Card: "While no one knows exactly when or by whom the Dark Divinity was summoned, the elder primal roams the Twelveswood astride his loyal warhorse Sleipnir seeking a bloody reckoning for misdeeds lost but unforgotten."

I'll see if I can find anything on him in Encyclopedia Eorzea.

"A careful study by Seedseer O-App-Pesi and others has revealed that the sword itself--the Zantetsuken--is the primal's true vessel, and by enthralling whosoever picks up its hilt is the Dark Divinity reborn time and time again. Prominent theologians have begun to advocate the idea that the blade was, in fact, the primal champion of Urth's followers, a weapon imbued with godly strength that it might strike off the fetters of Allagan tyrrany."
