Old relic lights in ARR had two light farming stages. Both were nerfed unlike first release. Those are really fast and easy could do it in 1-2 days or one depending on dedication.

Nexus was the intense light farm grinding. After that, Zodiac Brave weapon, you needed to complete four separate chain quests for items to turn in. They amounted to:The Zodiac Brave Zeta was another light farm, only instead of needing the original 2,000 total light Nexus had needed, you only needed 200-ish light for mahatma. When some of the best speedrun options gave 4 light; 8 if in bonus.
- 400,000 gil;
- 80,000 Company Seals;
- 1,600 Allagan Tomestone of Poetics;
- drops from 16 dungeons that were not guaranteed;
- eight 3-star HQ crafted items (some mats came from desynthesis items).
....Looking back on it, they really did take it much easier on us this time on relic. (Absolutely thank you for this SE)

I don't see them doing another Hydra/Chimera requirement again for relic weapons. Remember what Titan HM caused, pretty sure they said they would never do that again.

That... would be a bit soon. Dun Scaith is actually relevant currently. The oil used for hyperconductive state of the 3.0 relic used the Crystal Tower dungeons and again for a current raid in the same quest line? It wouldn't surprise me if the last step took place in the new Diadem, though. That's the only place that doesn't use a custom weapon that hasn't have anything to contribute to the relic.

I concur. Although, it would strongly depend on the item level of the gear found in Diadem. If the gear that drops there is 270 similar to how it was 210 when it was first released, (max level for it's time), than Dun Scaith would already become irrelevant out dated content seeing as the gear there is 260. I wouldn't find that to surprising since they should be opening up Alexander (Savage) to be farmable some time soon. The little extras like the coins and matters would be the only reasons to still run it at all. Locking a relic material behind it to keep it up to date doesn't sound to far fetched in my opinion.That... would be a bit soon. Dun Scaith is actually relevant currently. The last step of the old relic was a short light farm. They may do the same thing here with the anima.

Given that the new relic step is coming in 3.55a and new Diadem won't come until at least 3.55b I think that option can safely be discounted![]()
