Should healers now be allowed to play how they choose to play?

The second vid is not a good example to bring to this discussion. It's very obviously a new healer. They needed mechanics explained, and there was even a bonus notification after the fight. Don't get me wrong, I agree with you, your first vid was spot on, the second is just being petty expecting someone that is probably nervous to be comfortable dpsing. From the title, it was also supposed to be a vid showing off WARs self-healing, not putting down inexperienced healers.

Also as a side note. I have never had a xelphatol run go as smoothly as I saw in that first vid lmao. Congrats to them I guess, but probably 60% of the player base will not be that good at mechanics.

Second video simply shows that for 60% of the fight there was no healing needed. Obviously the healer was new to the fight and didn't know what the mechanics were, but it still shows the small healing requirements. In the snowcloak video, the healer (if they knew the fight) could have easily DPSed the entire time and let their fairy heal only topping the party off after the AoEs.
