I doubt they will allow the players to dress them in anything because obviously players would dress them in.. suggestive clothing. I think the NPCs will definitely have restrictions to what they will be wearing.
And with that, people will probably beg to allow the NPCs to wear anything in response.
Am I the only one who zapped out at "Crafter only"? >.>
What if this replaced the "Specialization System". By that I mean they could make these NPCs open up chains that unlock new recipes for crafting classes and while a player would have the opportunity to do all of them, it would purposely be designed as a time consuming process. Getting hand on hard to obtain rare materials, HQing said recipes, exchanging them for reputation, build up enough rep and a renowned person comes along and gives you a "Prototype Recipe" and the only way to obtain the real version of said recipe would be from completing the person's request.
Would there a purpose to this beyond playing dress up with NPCs? Are there way more details on this feature?
Could you please post some source of this information. I try to keep an eye on these things, but somehow this completely slipped past me. Anyway, sounds great. I wonder how far they can build on such feature and what we may see in 4.x patches.
And there I thought I could finally date Aymeric. I mean the dinner was a good start....
Serious answer:
Uh....okay? I like to play dress-up and all but I cant make any sense of this. Maybe we get more Information soon.

Actually, my understanding of it is that we're supposed to see the start of it before 4.0? My understanding is it's starting with Zhloe Aliapoh.
So, similar what WoW did and pulled off with the Pandaria expansion?
