Yes, because Zhloe gives crafters a whole new crafting system, way better than specialists.Did you watch the live letter? Crafters are getting Zhloe content, which will branch out and expand into a major piece of content in 4.0. There is also Eureka, new underwater gathering, and more unique stuff that you have failed to acknowledge. We haven't even see half the information, and you are ignoring half of what we HAVE seen, and shooting it down while you are at it.
Yes, because underwater gathering isn't literally the same thing as regular gathering, just underwater.

I'd say a 2, maybe? I'm rather disappointed at Ishgardian Housing being nixed, though I had been among those asking for more Oriental-themed housing, so it's a mixed bag for me. On the one hand, I'd been hoping to some day get home in Ishgard, and my desire for Oriental housing stuff was mostly hopes of glamour or garden items... but then, on the other hand, an Oriental-style mansion in snowy Ishgard would look pretty silly, no? Granted we've already got Chocobo Houses and Paisa Houses, but still, I understand going with something more thematically consistent.
Other than that, I'm still rather excited, despite all the negativity. Really looking forward to 3.55's conclusion to HW's story to ramp things up for SB. Red Mage and Samurai both look like a joy to play around with, and getting to explore not just Gyr Albania, but a solid chunk if not all of Othard too sounds awesome!
I'm sorry, but everything that you just said is, plain and simple, stupid.1. New areas! (Sounds like heavensward again)
2: New primals! (Sounds like heavensward again)
3: New alternative to flying....SWIMMIMG!! (Sounds like heavensward...again)
4: Instead of 3 jobs....you get TWO!! And guess what?! They're BOTH DPS! (Sounds....worse than heavensward)
5: New housing district! (Sounds like heavensward yet again)
Where's something much more new and fresh for people who have had to endure two series of the same content? (2.x and 3.x) Why not more customization? Even just 3 options would be great. Why not something brand new for crafters and gatherers? Why not add something unique to glamour?
Some new minor character customization options to be dabbled in would make things fresh rather than massive new areas, new bosses, new methods of exploration, and new classes to experiment with?
It's pretty obvious that you and many others are just looking for things to complain about. Some have raised legitimate concerns and criticisms about what we've been shown thus far. But what you're saying? Not any of them. I'm sure that if we DID get what you claim to want so badly, you'd just be complaining about not getting the things that we actually are.
Eureka isn't underwater, he was saying that along with Eureka they are adding underwater gathering nodes; hence the comma. However, if they go the Final Fantasy III route, Eureka will be beneath the Crystal Tower and have nothing to do with swimming.

How exactly is unlocking hairstyles a massive change in design philosophy? If that was all you were expecting then your getting part of what you hoped for. If your so disappointed because there are a handful of hairstyles you wont be able to get I think you might be overacting a bit.
"The better" is a highly subjective thing and often very unpredictable on how it will be received. A change that one fan will like, another will hate. Just look at the arguments over horizontal progression that appear on this forum. Again they made no promises so if your disappointed that there wasn't any major design changes planned it is purely for making baseless assumptions. That which doesn't evolve and change simply stagnates and dies. ARR will be four years old this year. In four years, they've made no major design changes of any kind. They add or remove or adjust tiny things here or there but don't even attempt to do anything that could change anyone's actual gameplay for the better. Whether it's out of fear, laziness, or an apathy for this game when they have so many other titles to spend resources on, I couldn't tell you.

Nothing really game changing to cry about.
Eureka is not underwater gathering, it will probably be our new way to grind for relic weapons, hopefully showing the return of content specifically created for that since 2.0.
this is basically it. you have the OP and a few others who don't like it, and then few others who really like it. but there's also majority of the playerbase like me who are inbetween and just deal with it or don't care at all.
Calm down there, pal. I don't see anyone calling your stance on things stupid, now do we? No need to be so triggered. Anyways, yes, it actually would be a lot more fresh and new. We have enjoyed the same content for two whole series now. One series with some changes wouldn't hurt.
Also, no...no, I wouldn't be complaining. I honestly could care less about content we have been getting for two whole series now. I'd be playing FFXIV more often than I do with Black Desert, haha.

So what you're saying is that you don't want new content, you just want little updates to old stuff. Which is fine, but please, stop claiming that getting a new character customization engine would be some kind of game-changer. It's just annoying how utterly off-base such a statement is.Calm down there, pal. I don't see anyone calling your stance on things stupid, now do we? No need to be so triggered. The irony in this statement is that nothing we're getting is "new" content. It's the same thing we've had for the entire life of the game, just in a more oriental flavored packaging this time around. So what you're saying is that you don't want new content, you just want little updates to old stuff.
