Friend/recruitment code for special items and things (use before paying first sub) RACN78W5 (updated) info on items here http://sqex.to/Cz9 code is entered via the mogstation.
Lol, Ishgard all over again. All I heard from the speech was that they do not want to unlock the housing area until later, like the whole feature - not just specific people (existing owners) and that they will also be adding a house moving feature for FCs who want to move into that new area once they've unlocked it. Not sure if FC was choice wording or if they meant for all houses.
Not a direct quote but supporting, from someone else who was there:

I imagine I could have missed a detail but to see it missed multiple times in other info dumps i feel means there was no word on delaying the moving feature specifically
I hope it'll be for personal housing as well as FC. If not idm relinquishing and purchasing another plot but the convenience of a transfer system sounds so much better >ω<
Uhh what? How is that not true?
Every player who has the gil at the time a ward opens has exactly the same opportunity as another.
If you are referring to newer players, or players who did not have the gil during the initial wards, the addition of subdivisions, or the addition of new wards - then that is on them. They had the opportunity to plan for it, save the gil, and buy the house - just like everyone else that was playing the game. If they are that new that they weren't even around for this - well then tough pickles, wait your turn - as there are plenty of players that have been playing far longer and are still yet to obtain a house despite having the necessary requirements.
If you are a newer player, this is completely on you, and no one else should be penalized for you not being at the stage in your character's life in order to purchase one when they became available. More will come, you just have to wait like the rest of us.
If it is indeed intended for free companies alone, this is incredibly unfair to those who have purchased a house in one of the 3 city states as they are quite literally locked out of the opportunity to obtain a house in the new zone.
In addition to this, it is also incredibly unfair to expect a private home owner to relinquish their house that they worked hard to obtain the gil for, in order to remove this lock out (which the cost can vary between 5 to a whopping 300 million gil if purchased on housing launch day).
This is effectively asking the home owner to toss their 5-300 million gil on the ground (current price of mansions is 50 million gil to put a bit more perspective on the situation), then to spend a further 50 million gil to obtain another mansion.
In addition to this, you are asking a home owner to give up their claim to their current house, in order to even have a chance (not a garentee) at obtaining a house in the new zone. This means that if a home owner wishes to move, they have to risk relinquishing their land, teleporting to the zone, potentially spend another 50 million gil on top of their original cost of their house, with the potential to lose BOTH plots and end up with 50 million in the drain with no house to show for it.
So the situation is this - if home owners cannot move to the new zone, they either toss 50 million on the ground with the potential to come out with NO house at the end of it, ignore the fact that there is even a new housing zone which is also incredibly unfair as this was not on the cards when many people purchased their house, or best case - they spend AT LEAST DOUBLE the amount of a first home owner would spend if purchasing an plot of the same size.
This isn't even remotely fair on any sort of level and you would be a completely delusional if you thought it was.
If this feature is for Free Companies only, that is completely rediculous.
Nope no official word yet![]()

No, but nice try. Housing will not be equally available to all players. Other wise dead servers would get no new housing wars and the full servers would get more.
idc about the new housing area, I am excited for a mansion to possibly open in Lavender Beds or preferably Mist which is where I want to be. I have been camping these zones for an opening for months now. Tons of med and small houses open all the time but never a mansion...
While everyone is fighting tooth and nail for a place in the new zone I will be circling the old ones.
Regardless of the social difficulties for some players to switch servers; if you absolutely want a housing plot above all else, the option to help you find one is technically there.
Overall though it would be nice if their current system for closing overpopulated servers mitigated players by something more than just their wallets. I mean, if you can afford to buy FFXIV and pay the monthly sub, surely you can scrounge up the 1 time fee to then move your character onto a closed server, so I highly doubt even the wallet wall is doing much if anything to mitigate over-population of a server.

Hey community reps! Can we please get a clarification on this?
Luxpheras? Sicycre? Anyone? D:
Will the move feature be available to private estate owners as well as Free Companies? Or are the plans to implement this move feature exclusive to Free Companies?
The information from the Fanfest was a little confusing as this wasn't explicitly stated, and Yoshi went on to highlight its use for Free Companies but did not mention whether or not private estates would be included in this highly desired feature.
I'd really like to know this myself. I wanna know if I should start preparing to get rid of my house in the Mist and start saving gil or if I'll be able to move my current to the new area. Either is fine..I just would like to know ^^Hey community reps! Can we please get a clarification on this?

FCs SHOULD have first dibs on moving. The needs of the many far outweigh those of the few. 'Many' being the key word: The only FCs that should be allowed to transfer are those of max rank, because it's an easily tracked metric showing that the FC is actually active with multiple players and not merely serving as an airship port.
As a compromise however, solo homeowners that attempt to sell their old house to move to Shirogane should have some insurance in being able to return if the attempt fails - as in, being allowed a 3 day window to restore ownership of their old property before anyone else is allowed to buy it. Said window however immediately disappears should they actually successfully obtain a Shirogane house (so they won't have time to try arranging the old property to be bought on an alt or a friend, because that comes with the risk of the Shirogane property being bought by someone else in the meantime).
(I say this as someone in a FC that has a house, along with recently having come into possession of a house myself, and I honestly feel particularly scummy about having said personal house knowing that there are FCs out there that actually need one. Though, the FC that would want to move into my house would have to somehow prove to me that they're going to remain active.)
