    I agree with everyone that says if Blitzball is added to the Gold Saucer, it would end up going the same way as LoV did, largely ignored by many players.

    However, I do feel that Blitzball could be added to the game in a meaningful way with a good amount of longevity: Add it not as a GS attraction, but as a mode of PvP.

    If the garo event has taught me anything, it's that most people aren't averse to leaving their comfort zone if there is ample reward. And what better reward for a PvP-blitzball would there be than a new tier of PvP gear in swimsuit-designs? Let's admit it, people love swimsuits, most would absolutely grind this mode if such a reward were tied to it.

    Feast has already introduced "seasons", so I'd imagine Blitzball could use a similar setup if introduced this way, ensuring longevity even after most people have obtained the gear rewards, in the form of trophies and minions rewarded for placing in the top ranks.

    The actual execution of this mode would be the greater challenge, but I know the FF XIV team is capable of creating this as a fun mini-game if they decide to implement it.

    TL ;DR
    If Blitzball is added, consider making it PvP rather than GS attraction.
