Yeah according to the new lvl 70 meta, what with all the expansion changes and all, it looks like Monk will be left in the dust again.

Oh wait, I just remembered I am not a time traveller and remembered that the mêlée dps synergy has little to do with what type damage they do and more that DRG and NIN have skills that bring more damage to the raid. Like Battle Litany and Trick Attack.

The chance of monk being pushed aside in Stormblood is slim to none. As the whole expansion is based around Monk just like HW was with DRG. SE would look really stupid if they did that.

Samurai (slashing)- synergy with Warrior, Ninja

Monk- again NO ANY SYNERGY!

The piercing is just speculation based on Red Mage using a Rapier, there's even people speculating RDM will use DEX lol, which i seriously hope not.

No matter at all. No Dragoon synergy? Ok, but still Bard synergy

It doesnt change anything- Monk still has NO SYNERGY!
