On my initial small house furnishing, I dropped about..4-6 million, I think.
I had many of the most expensive things already from my FC room before that, and I'm friends with lovely amazing omnicrafters who make most stuff for me if I ask them to, so I saved a lot of money.
But just the basic mats for most of the cooler furniture are often 400k-7 million, and you often need several pieces per recipe, so yeah. Still expensive

Since the initial furnishing...hm..another 15 million or so? Maybe more. I would have spent a lot more if I had it, but I don't, so I have to let go of my dream of owning certain furniture xD
Housing is literally the only reason I have leveled any crafters beside CUL at all (and was a major motivator to level gatherers too), just so I don't have to rely on my friends so much x)
But mats from aquapolis, airship ventures, rare raid drops and retainer 18 hour ventures are still not obtainable by myself, so I have to drop a lot of money on them at the MB :x

Open the housing menu while on your estate and it will display several options. One of them is dyeing furniture^^
It gives you a list of all placed furniture, either greyed out (non-dyeable) or normal, in which case right-click it and select the dye (looks the same as the window for gear dyes).
If you physically stand beside the furniture you want to dye, you can see it change color according to what you click on in the dye window, so you know how it actually looks before you pay for colors
