I wonder if it would be easier to allow idle animations for pets, like Eos standing on your shoulder, or Carbuncle sitting down (animation already exists). I'm not familiar with MCH turrets, maybe emitting steam/exhaust? Moving too much unintentionally keeps me thinking that they're malfunctioning.
