And based on your "a combination of both" What percentage of fun think comes from your friends? You know... the hijinks.. the stuff said, the funny moments.. the triumphs... vs... just the actualy came play such as eves.... crafting... etc etc?

as a single player game itd suck imo
too much in it thatd have to be dumbed down and scaled down to be single player compatible
but that can be said about any mmo out there, they just arent really meant to be single player, it takes the whole point out of the mmo factor of it


id say its 50/50 on whats what though, the game has to be good and i have to make friends to want to play a game
and while you can always make new friends, the gameplay has to be there the whole time(or has to be improving at least if it has a slow start)

Exactly, you can't compare an mmo to a single player game. The content is designed for many gamers all playing together.

also, i have to say this, games being released WILL NOT affect this game based on whats going on here

everyone always thinks it will but it never happens

facts are facts

fact: if people were going to play those games nothing being done in current games could stop those people from going to play those games
fact: you could be playing the "perfect mmo ever" and people who want to play those games will go play them

and i hate to say it, the same problems we see here and in all other new MMOs will happen in those new ones(the pure fact that they arent "veteran titles with years of content under their belt and multi million player communities")

alot of uber hyped games over the last few years regardless of initial reception have died down alot for a reason, even if they make a strong open they will die down like everything else as people go back to the other games they enjoy or back to the game they were so addicted to they cant bare to lose their character in

Look, In the end Your Question is flawed because either way you look at it, there's still ALOT of people that are staying in the game, What I'm kinda getting from you is, your trying to stir up trouble and my Whole LS is staying along with alot of people on my Server. Lol. See this is the problem, right here. Once someone disagrees with you, their instantly trying to cause trouble. I haven't seen one person on the "im going to sub for this come 1.20" side of the fence ONCE try to see it the other sides way. You think I don't care for the game? You think i can't pay the measly 10.50 or whatever it is to pay to play? You really think im wasting my time to cause trouble... really? lmao. .. no im not.

My concern is come time to pay to play a sizable amount of people are going to leave, if not because the games isn't ready in their eyes (its ok in my eyes btw, just how much is to be determined) but then you got other titles that are coming out NEAR the said date well isnt it logical to state that will suck out more?...

And the funny thing is when i simply try to have people see my point (albeit a few honest non flammable questions first to grab peoples attention, so they just dont skim through my post) you say im causing trouble... rich.
