Convinving a friend to Fantasia into a Female Roegadyn

I've played female characters almost my entire MMO career, I'd like to spend some time with male characters this time around.

So, ähm... YOU are playing what YOU want, she is currently playing what she wants... but she has to be convinced to change for it to appeal to you...?

I mean, FemRoes are great and everyone should be one (no, actually not, I like being a special snowflake) but convincing a friend to change character by showing her boob-pictures seems... weird and semi-uncool? If she likes her character, leave her alone and let her enjoy the game the way she wants it...


(Little edit: Before I changed to FemRoe I played a male elezen. My best friend hated him and spend two years telling me how horrible he looked - which was insane btw, he was freaking gorgeous! - and it actually annoyed me quite a bit and made me kinda sad once in a while - really not cool being told to change your character by a friend because they'd prefer something else. I changed for the hairstyles btw.)

You are playing the character you like and she is playing the character she likes, leave her alone and let her enjoy the game. Forcing her to change to meet your tastse/appeal to you is not good at all.

I know you're mostly joking, but there is still some sincerity behind your comment, which is why I asked. Seems the Midlander selection is frowned upon for lack of originality, and I think that is lame. I could never quite figure out why everyone has to look like an alien to be an acceptable choice.

Don't pay it any mind. Midlanders are the conventionally attractive playable race without any odd quirks. They're also very reflective of the conventional and idealistic beauty standards that exist in many countries and are the closest thing, facially, to many attractive actors, athletes and models.

I usually run into people who think catgirls are the unoriginal ones.
I was kinda sincere about male midlanders but I was a female midlander for awhile before I went highlander. I don't know, it's just how I feel, I'm not campaigning for their end or anything. I saw his post and thought "If his friend likes who she is and he likes Roes, why is it her who has to change?" Then I wanted to make it not so serious, so I threw a little jab in.

Gotcha. I respect how you feel, and I'm just curious is all and not giving you the third degree. I should be giving the third degree to the OP. If he likes fem Roes so much, why not just make his character a fem Roe and let his friend(s) play as whatever they want lol. Jab away!

I'm usually joking, or trying to at least. Probably should put smiley emotes but that might look like I mean it. Internet is too hard for me.

It'd be one thing if she was considering a change and wanted to see pros/cons of other races but trying to convince her to play something more appealing to you seems a bit....unfair? One's character should appeal to oneself first and foremost. You'll be spending the most time with them afterall.

Also, what's wrong with midlanders? I like them a lot.
