Robes ARE the traditional style for mages in FF and many other media, so this should hardly be surprising. And even if it is, I find enough variation in healer gear that I only see the really voluminous robes rotate into my glamour very rarely (such as currently, when I was going for a Miko/priestly look). Of course, if longish coats similarly offend your aesthetic sensibilities, then you really are mostly out of luck I guess.

Will we ever get an NA/EU exclusive set? The closest we have is the thavnairian set, but only because of some obscure laws in china/korea

We don't share datacenter, so it's very rare to see half-naked people.

There are plenty of sets that aren't long robes though. Look at the Primal Tomestone set, for example. Even mages end up with a pants and shirt combo, the shirt just having some added stuff to it. Before that the AF stuff for SCHs and BLMs was another pants and shirt combo, though WHMs and SMNs got more robe-like armor.

I'm happy to see more long coats and robes added to the game to be honest. I don't like being a mage in anything else. To each their own preference mind you, but I end up feeling disappointment when I have to glamour over the latest gear.

The WuKong clothes, mount, and emote were added to our game's data in 3.5 so it'll be in the mogstation soon.

The objects they wear on their hands and hairstyles, are just for art.
The art of previous outfits, also bring hairstyles or other objects in the hands, that finally do not appear in the game. (Referring to the Chinese and Korean costumes obviously)

...In game first?.. XD. I "like" the cash shop for making sure old seasonal stuff doesn't turn into a never can have ever again sort of thing (common in long lasting games), but I really dislike it for new stuff. Feels really crappy to see something cost the amount of a good game for a single digital item, and that was the only way to ever obtain it ;/

I dont mind if the "event" is a bit cheap, like no long story about it just a few materials that drop from say leveling dungeon and you can use an NPC or low-ish level craft to make it.
