People hit 60 and not get all the rest for free? Omg.
Really work for the items its not as long as it was.

The content after 3.0 msq is extra so do one or all of the lvlings you have.
Pvp,potd,hunts,dungeons,raids.
But no you want it all for free here and now. You dont even want to pay gil.
The old law set can be had for barely anything if they do the board hunt marks while they are leveling and they can level into that stuff. The highest yielding lore dungeon without roulette bonuses is the last leveling story dungeon which has a pretty fast queue since people farm it for lore. Then just do all the other dungeons once as you unlock them, since they are new they will get the lore bonus on everything they are doing and roll on the green gear. Wouldn't take long to boost your ilvl doing that. Void Ark has a fairly low entry requirement as well.
You don't need people to be around for the daily and weekly hunt marks that can be picked up outside of the Forgotten Knight - they're solo content. Those daily and weekly bills are around 900 seals per week without touching a or s rank hunts and will get most of a set of ilvl 200 gear to get into more dungeons in one week.
The ilvl 220 gear is fairly easily craftable now too.
A mixture of 200 - 220 gear will take you through roughly patch 3.4 giving lore and scripture tomestone rewards to gear up in 230 and 260 gear while also sometimes providing a temporarily useful dungeon drop. And then there are the alliance and story mode raids to factor in.

i don't think asking for a rework of 60 roulette is asking for gear for free. I think your attitude is actually rather elitist to not want to help new people get into content. Msq is no extra its part of the game its the core. Yes i didn't realise hunts were giving this stuff. If you read the thread you can see my response. Heck if you actually read the first post correctly you see i gave ways that might help which is to remind you. Make 60 roulette work like levelling so you don't need all the dungeons to run it or be able to buy the first set of 60 gear with poetics not once did i say
'Yoshida please give every person at level 60 gear for nothing just give it to them.' no I gave some alternative or extra ways for people to earn it to help them progress through story so they can catch up to enjoy content with people. There paying to enjoy this game with friends too.
The daily hunt bills are a great source of experience when leveling. So much this.Really, using hunts to get the 3rd best set to help you with doing the level 60 roulette to move onwards is perhaps the best option, and we should probably push newbies to try them out in any case. In addition to the seal rewards, they also reward xp and gil. I could definitely see someone doing their daily/weekly hunts as they level up and being able to ding 60 into a set of ilvl 200 gear.
I can get behind reworking 60 roulette to unlocking with fewer dungeons and adding more as you unlock more, I think your thread got derailed into the gear discussion.i don't think asking for a rework of 60 roulette is asking for gear for free. Let's look at it from another angle. I think it's an issue when a player hits 60 and thinks they're immediately entitled to the current endgame gear without working up to it.
You can build up a respectable ilevel very easily, without even relying on 250 crafted gear.
If someone's attitude upon reaching 60 is to expect that they immediately go from 145 and Thordan to 235 and Alexander Creator, that's going to cause problems.
I joined a friend taking a buddy through Gordias for the first time. My co healer had a 250 weapon, 250 accessories, and full 120 Ironworks (not augmented) on the left side. They got one shotted multiple times and spent half the run dead on the floor. If i, their co healer, hadn't been geared enough and inclined enough to solo heal, that run would have been a mess.
The moment you start to play the elitist card you lose.
People dont have problem help you to get to max lvl.look for people. Hell i got some 250 crafted gers for free from some one nice after a dungeon run.

If you dont know the quickest ways to gear up, it can be slow.
But having geared up already and knowing the fastest ways to gear up, I got an alt to 60 (from PotD) and w/o purchasing any i250 gear (or any gil bought gear) I got high enough to enter A9 Savage in 2 days. (I worked those days, so it wasnt an all day sort of thing)
I always tell people to do PotD as often as possible as they level up, to get enough points to buy the i235 weapon.
Did my weekly elite hunt for some basic i200 gear. (I forget what I bought, but remember trying to plan every step)
Did my PvP roulette for the bad PvP gear at the time. (Now its i235, so its a good catch up)
Then a mix between PotD for tomes (mainly accessories bought with tomes)
and 24 man content, to get some armor and machi coins.
1st time bonus from everything, including Alexander 1-12 helped buy me some tome gear.
Now its easy to farm A9-A12, and do PvP roulette.
I dont really do roulettes, as Im just lazy, and when you're not geared enough yet, u cant access the only decent one.
