I can't believe you and the rest of you people thinking it look better Fine it look better in the sense of other games in the market but ffxiv now detail and realism win 2.0 any day of the week. optimized graphics? they could have made it work with the new tool and stay with the same look and added more lighting i don't understand why it have to look 100% diff.

Yes 2.0 look more beautiful more rich color

But ffxiv now look more natural and i guess people find that dull looking and i can see that it does look very dull but can't they keep at least that natural look for our Chars

And really all they did it make it look more beautiful in rich color but playing this game for over 1year you get use to the natural look and that what they been selling us for 1year natural look and realism to change that now it like taking all that back for me.

Can you tell me where in Yoshi's statements he said the graphics were worse?

He said currently the shader and effects is low. They are remaking that (make it better). Then he just said they added a function to limit it to 30dps if you choose... we have this now.

It wasn't a dumb joke. They're pictures of desktops, why would I think they're someone else's but yours?

Who's to say you have the pictures in the right order, maybe the top desktop is 2.0 and the bottom is 1.0

Since they said they are fixing the shading and effects, that should mean they are able to add more detail. This picture they gave us is supposed to look dark and dreary but allow you to focus on the spell effects, ui, background. I think it looks great.

Yoshi did say that because of this it will change how our hair looks, that doesn't mean it will look like a cell-shaded block like in WoW! It could just change how the shadows act around it and give it more layers, thus making it look different. And I'm assuming from look at the picture of the tank, his hair has shadows from where his head slopes by his neck.

Just saying I don't think they would downgrade graphics especially when 90% of the praise they have gotten is about there graphics.
