Please make summoners use a staff and move the grimoire to the off-hand slot instead. The books will be used to summon and the staff will be the main weapon.
The books are the reason why FFXIV summoners never looked cool.
You'd think at level 51, the OP would be doing more playing the game and less...well...whatever this is.
I look forward to seeing how utterly wrong you are.
FFXIV forums is immune to "fake news"
4.0 or 5.0 whatever think about this. when they remove all base classes from the game and people level up just their jobs.
classes gonna be effected by this the most is summoner and scholar.
I really do hope don't mess with scholar too much. but if its gonna heal at lvl1 then things might need to change little.
however summoner has been a job that large about of community has been ranting and raging for start its release. post after post never ending rage why summoner doesn't feel like summoner.
also want to point when they release egi gramour system they only did carbuncle. their was no other egis. and another fact of matter is they just different color carbuncles. no different designs or anything just different collar
they know that shit won't fly. we know that shit won't fly. so their gonna do what i think gonna do. give us more egi's we have think about ability bloat too. if they flood us with new powerful abilities. it can be dangerious to the game itself.
so they need to ton it down remake the abilities. or compact them some way
rather improving macro system making battle-macros actually like meaning they can preform just as easy as someone whos clicker. not one better then the other
or compacting the skills themselves. so we don't have so many bloody buttons clustering up our hotbars/crossbars
that leaves with another problem. each class should have a max count of 26 abilities. no higher. however pet abilities do not count. of course players expecting new abilities? its expansion of course they want see new skills for their jobs. but how do you plan to do that and keeping in within 26 limit
anyone with a brain would know summoners would get majority of the reworking. cause amount of bitchin and whining complaining how summoner didnt feel like summoner. how titan is flouting chicken nugget with arms. or ifirt this. or we need more egis. yadi yadi. what would you think any good civil game dev do. am pretty sure no 80-90% sure that summoner gonna be reworked. keep majority of final fantasy fans happy. cause when you actually have offical games sites pointing out issues with ff14 and main spotlight is summoner. something needs to be done

Please just one medium of communication that isn't Trump/political jabs. We all have to deal with it on FB, Reddit, Twitter and all that ;_;
Most SMN don't complain about playstyle though, they complain they don't LOOK cool, which doesn't warrant a rework. It just needs to be made prettier, most people gave up on the DoT Warlock Q.Q back in 2.0. Bards are the ones who actually complain 1000% more than any SMN ever has over playstyle.
