I dont even reel silver fish or azys fish in, just wait for a medium tug at 20+ seconds and let everything else escape

I have never done this method, but I'll try... someone said that you don't need Fish Eyes for Proto Hropkins, have you confirmed this or do you use Fish Eyes? Do you have any tips for fossiltongue? Its so rare to land one

What he means is that you don't reel in the trash fish at all when it bites. You just let it eat and then get the message "You lose bait..." It speeds up the overall 'catch rate' when you focus on catching only certain type of fish. I do that as well when there's fish that I know how long it takes for it to bite or it's a direct catch big fish. With Fisher's Intuition and weather, certain ingame hours and what all combinations every second counts.
