Positive feedback, bring back the creativity from when the forums started

Please stop with all the pointless demands to stop or remove/stop things you do not like and instead focus on positive feedback on how to make the current features and future plans better.

I myself did my share of complaining, especially on the solo aspect of the game but that is something that they can realistically fix/change with just tweaking xp points/stats etc... not re-do the whole game.

I can't understand how so many of you even think that it is possible that SE will scrap plans and work they already started because YOU do not like it. They won't. Do you have any idea of the amount of work, planning and money it takes to work on a video game? Do you think that they will completely revise their 2.0 plans which took them months just because some of you say it is too much WOW like and were hoping for more FFXI stuff?

When they say they made up their minds on something, it means this is what it will be, period. And the feedback they are expecting from us is not "scrap it and do this" but rather how their plans be improved, not completely changed.

I miss seeing all the posts about great ideas to add in the game. How they could do current systems better, how they could be fixed/ tweaked etc.... It was refreshing and fun to read. In SE's 2.0 plans and recent Yoshi posts i see some of these ideas being used.


Bring back your amazing ideas and let's share them for the good of this game. We had our share of complaining and venting.

I think we need a Complaints and Grievances forum; just a place we can store these people while we get back to discussions we actually enjoy. That, and a Moderator that's in charge of just shipping all the baseless, entitled QQ over to that area, lol.

But, if you want sharing of ideas and discussions about them, well Oh ho ho ho, does that open the door for shameless self-promotion! I've got three ideas going right now if you want to take part and/or like them; though two have fallen behind and the other was just created yesterday.

• Introducing easter eggs in areas that only occur at certain times on certain dates / moon phases - specifically hauntings and ghost remnants of Eorzea That Was.
• Pre-Emptive Discussion and Suggestions on the Future of Chocobo Breeding and Minigames
• Celebrating the opening of Ishgard and bringing XIV full circle by bringing back the demo-aesthetic from the Project Rapture announcement in a commemorative landmark placed within the central city somewhere. (Even if it's not a central attraction and more of a gentle nod to the people who kept the game alive.)

I support your idea, but that's like asking to de-evolve back to a bacteria or something. If you've paid attention, the most creative people on the forums started becoming less suggestive after it was pretty much established that the dev team was not in a place to implement people's suggestions. Remember "we'll look into it"? The only thing that would help is if the dev team opened up a topic for discussion every few days.

Aye, and it'd be even sillier now to suggest anything until 2013 because they're so busy with development of 2.0.

at the moment the forums are more clogged than normal but this happens when big announcements happen
hopefully it will subside naturally probably more so when the sub period starts but it would be a great idea to have a grievances forum for certain things

the threads consistently about staying or going are becoming somewhat repetitive

I lost faith that the devs weren't listening to my suggestions and feeback only to find out recently that many of them have been spoken about in interviews or dev letters.

I have continued to make suggestions but I do feel the Community reps especially have gone very quiet as of late especially in the gameplay sub forum.

They should make their presence more know so that people still know that issues are being read and passed along.

To be fair, the OP could be turned the other way around by switching "negative" to "positive" feedback, just take the following statement:

I think we can provide feedback for fine-tuning the existing plans, but from what we've seen here in the last months, it does not look like they are paying too much attention to brand new ideas, except the ones that they already had in mind.
