Morticous - Senior admin of.... well of nothing. (cool picture here)
/panic - If I could I would! I'd already be having random people come into my soundbooth to record whispers, echoes, and threats to hide all over the world, waiting to proc at special times in special places (or, in the places like Caedarva Mire and/or the deepest caves with links to The Void or The Hells, ALL THE TIME, or maybe just the witching hour...)
Or maybe a haunted Axe or Lance that, if engaged with enemies on certain dates, moon phases and times, lets out whispers about wanting blood and such... Haunted weapons... mmmm. MMMM, I SAY.

I would love a bit of creepy in the game as well.
xi's Gusgen mines was probably one of the only zones in a mmo that actually gave me the creeps. The child's ghost that went down the stairs, the body's hanging from the ceilings and walls . I'm not to afraid to admit that i only went in there when i had to.
with the coming fecal storm i would love to see some similar stuff added to various areas. What would be really nifty is if periodically old ghostly remnants of the old eorzea would show up, phantom npc's and all in the radicaly changed areas.
Finally Uldah according to some of the lore introduced via side quests is said to be plagued by things that go bump and bang in the night. It would be really cool if players could experience some of this.

Those mines scared the shit out of me. ;-;i'd love this, vets from FFXI will remember how awesome it was when you found out that the Gusgen Mines was haunted by the victims of a cave in, and the deeper you went, the more spirits you saw.
they even had some that would appear from the ceiling, even though the graphics didn't lead it to be truly frightening, i got chills sometimes, and wondered what the heck was going on when the cave in alarm sounded.
HOW. DID I NOT. THINK OF THIS?
IT'S GOING AT THE TOP OF THE LIST IN BOLD.
BILLY MAYES IS POSSESSING MY SPEECH PATTERNS BECAUSE I'M SO EXCITED.

Anyway, yes. This needs to happen. No options what-so-ever. Sorry, Square-Enix. You've been conscripted.
We need more of that ^u^ I loved the areas that, even though completely fictional, just made my hair stand on end. It doesn't need to be a frequent occurrence - in fact I'd insist that the creepy areas be few and far between and the supernatural events well hidden and rare. Still, I think it'd be fantastic if we had them.

Can I suggest new mob type that named as "Troll" and the NM of this mob named as "gifthorse"? that would be creepy
Aion Zwei - Masamune
There are some pretty creepy troll-like things in the new concept art, but I didn't see their names. I feel like giving in-game trolls the names of forum trolls would just encourage douchebaggery lol

i could see them doing this with the wandering odin enemy..... which ever zone he is in...there can be ghostly things in the zone as a clue that he is in the current zone. Like ghosts and undead wandering around the zone...or just in the path he walked in or something
I hope comets rain down from the sky destroying and rearranging the land, you actually have to avoid them or they kill you. If you are riding chocobo it kills the chocobo too. Then the land is littered with chocobo ghosts...creepy chocobo ghosts KWEEEEEEEEH....
The idea of a chocobo ghost makes me kweh sadly...
It's Dynamis San d'Oria all over again![]()
