Punish ppl more harshly for abandoning dungeons i.e Dun Scaith or change the system.

Oh you can't imagine how a part of this com will flame you if you leave something like dun scaith if you already have your loot. They threaten to kick you out of groups in the future and call you an anti team player, even if it doesn't matter if you end the dungeon with them or someone else who maybe needs something that drops on the later bosses.

For me it doesn't matter if someone leaves if he has his loot and they have their 30 minutes penalty anyway.

I outright Duty Failed dunce cap because of the time limit... but I still got my gear so I wasn't mad lol. If someone sees it's a lost cause, then they have a right to leave. 1 player kept vote abandoning twice after every wipe. It got rejected, but they were encouraged to leave by the party because the rest of us were fine with continuing. Replacements came fast anyways.

As a side note, they really should lower the total time on these. If you get a party like this that is that stubborn you're stuck taking the penalty or waiting when there's clear problems if you even take half the time alloted.

I feel you on the loot frustration. Haven't got a single loot piece there, but it wasn't because of people abandoning, it's because even with a party with 1 SMN and 4 BLMs the damn raid drops 80% aiming gear. A single piece of caster gear dropped last week, and I lost it to the SMN that I ressed no less than 20 times on the first couple bosses. :/

Moral of the story is it's not an "abandon" issue that needs harsher punishment, it's an RNG issue that makes me want to gouge my own eyeballs out instead of running the stupid raid for the 7th time in a row. I even enjoy the raid. I think the boss fights are some of the most interesting I've seen in a while, but holy does it feel like beating your face against a brick wall sometimes.
