Removing chat set a terrible precedent for the game, makes a terrible image for the game, and has sewn a lot of player mistrust in the dev team.

People requesting chat be removed and/or complaining about toxicity fall within a vocal minority of an already small section of a small playerbase.

Toxicity and harassment happen. I'm not saying its right, I'm not saying people need to toughen up, but there are a lot of avenues to address the issue and what we got, simply put, was not just the wrong decision, it was poor one.

Honestly? That was just the most recent slap in the face. Telling us that we couldn't have non-GC frontlines because they were afraid of premades, despite it literally being easier to make premades with the GC restriction. Telling us that they take reports of misconduct in the Feast seriously, yet letting win-traders take the top spots, and speed hackers, and match throwers run rampant. Ignoring all our input into Shatter, and nerfing all caster DPS to the ice because of the JP caster meta, while at the same time reducing score requirements because *GASP* some matches actually required PvP to win.

All of these have shown us again, and again, and AGAIN, that SE is not to be trusted when it comes to actually knowing how PvP works. And this? Just another day of business as usual.
