Honestly, I like everything about that sword except the dwin dragon heads on the pommel. They just seem... like unneeded decoration when the rest of the blade is more... practical?

Agreed.
Seemed like a good idea at first but looking on it now, it seems a bit too gaudy/impractical for the overall blade design.
