Garo people are starting to get Gold because of the new point system, and those matches are leading to frustration.

That is highly unlikely. You need min 20 wins to get to silver. Then to get to gold, you need 36 wins at a 100% win rate. Combine this with the fact that anyone Garo farming is likely to also que for 8v8 given the que times it experienced, and I find it highly unlikely that anyone there for just Garo is Gold.

We need rank decay. Primal top 100 was basically static for months. And it should be regardless of if you have completed matches or not. It should be just a auto point loss, say 75 points a week, after you hit silver (and can't go below silver, 500 points). With the 60%ish win rates of the top players that would imply that they need around 15 matches a week to maintain there points. (that is assuming you win and loss about the same points each match, in the lower ranks you would need less matches to get the 75)

It's not at all. If you've tried queueing or talked to anyone queueing you'd know the Garo event has sparked a lot of new queues in both Solo and Light Party. Many of the Garo people queue'd into Solo and Unranked-Silver matches were popping a lot. I guess some of them found out they enjoyed it and have continued to queue as there are quite a few new golds. Just looking at the leaderboards now I see several players that have risen several hundred points in a day and many more that are +50 or so. But as a Diamond player, the 1 match I played since the event was just not fun when A) I can't talk to anyone on my team (which would've been nice to maybe prevent my healer from taking multiple stacks) and B) half the players (on my team and enemy team) are new names I've never seen before in full Garo armor who have little to no idea what they're doing.

No decay works like that, and that would be extremely frustrating to players like me who work 60h a week. Sometimes I go 1-8 because I'm trying a new class. You already get punished for playing at not peak times, that would be brutal. This is coming from a player who always tries to revive queues, even if it means throwing my rating away.

you can queue quickly now if you want but your odds of getting a group that can't kill a dps 3v1 seems to be in the 70%+ range
and the inability to instruct people about even the simplest things like "there is a skill called purify you can use" is frustrating as all hell

i couldn't play during the first month of season 3 and that dead zone of waiting an hour+ for "maybe" was not working for me so i took this boost as a second chance. Shot to silver immediately and now i wish i was taking screenshots of the matchups I've been getting. like 3 unranked and silver VS gold gold platinum platinum. The matches are so unbalanced you don't even lose rating at the end... lol

The match making is bad enough as is no need to exaggerate lol. It is not possible for an unranked to be in the same lobby as a gold nor platinum in ranked.

it definitely happened, unless the - means something other than unranked that i'm unaware of. I've had similar happen the other way too. My group was 3 golds VS all bronze team. It is usually along the lines of gold silver silver gold VS platinum silver silver silver though which is more reasonable but still weird that it's putting platinum that far down imo
i'm amazed how often i get matched against and with platinum as just silver even. Getting matched cross ranks back when i played MOBA games was like only at the thresholds between ranks

The matchmaking currently is supposed to make lobbies where all participants are within 2 ranks from one another. Therefore it is possible as a platinum (and in fact at the moment very likely cause of all the Garo people) to get matched up with silvers. I had the same silver heal last night 2 games in a row as a platinum before I quit queuing to avoid getting paired up with him. As a platinum however I have never seen an unranked nor bronze in my lobby. It's not supposed to be possible with current matchmaking (unlike last season where that type of matchmaking was the norm).

Even if we don't like it , the system try to be fair making the lowest gap possible in terms of points between 2 teams ( remember some1 can be plat with 1400 if he lost after promo , a gold can be 1550 if he failed promo to plat several times ) , what is broken in this system is that it doesn't care about roles so you can have bronze healer + gold tank in team ( assuming u are dps ) vs bronze dps + gold healer and trust me it's not the same ; i had a game this week im diamond vs another diamond , he is higher than me on rank , he got high plat healer i got high plat dps but i had low good healer he had low good tank .. My healer got rekt.

Totally not possible. Unranked q ends with silvers , bronze ends with golds , silver ends with plat , gold end with diamonds ( and viceversa)
