Will the combat-class changes go live pre-expansion?

Why should expansion stuff be released before the expansion comes out? It not part of the expansion then it just a regular game update.

while i'm not for this. if they are to retool substats like do away with Accuracy completely or make Parry 100% active for mitigation of all damage types, those are not expansion stuff. those are game updates that affect everyone whether they have the expansion or not.

but i don't see why that should be a different update.

Because combat system reworks effect more than just the expansion.

I would love for new jobs to be available as a early access perk (Maybe a month before?). It would allow those that want to level the new jobs as their main a opportunity to experience the expansion with their friends instead of feeling rushed to grind levels. But that doesn't mean abilities from 60-70 that should require the official expansion release, it'll just add the new battle system to level 60.

Exactly! With a whole new region to explore, who wants to spend a large portion of that first day in the new expansion on reading tooltips and setting up hot bars?

Not sure the re-vamp is just about the expansion, it will change the game itself (unless you don't have access to that new gameplay in AAR and HW ?) so it's not such a bad idea to have access to it before

The large overhaul of the combat system should be implemented a few weeks prior to the expansion launch, to give players ample time to adjust not only their gameplay, but their hotbars and HUDs as well.

For that exist early access. It will be also only a matter of 1-2 hours until everything is on place

combat system reworks also effect content balancing, not just some skills. Because of that it is part of the big package and don't come as a own package.

If they don't release some information before the next fanfest this forum is gonna implode. This much hype and hopes for the expansion cannot be contained for 23 more days.
