Because Blizzard does it SE should too? I don't know if i agree with that since WoW is bleeding subs super hard right now. I'd rather have a good MMORPG instead of a reskin of a failing game.

It's a real shame you can't take good ideas from other games. It really sucks that only the first MMO to do something is allowed to benefit from a good decision. :/

So just because one person did something we can't do it too? I don't know if I agree with that since at this point everything's been done in some way. I'd rather be able to test my bars before the expansion drops instead of acting like WoW owns it.
Because "not invented here" is a good reason for not implementing something if it can be shown to be useful?
The idea has merit since it decouples the launch of all new content with a re-engineering of basic play mechanics, however I don't see SE doing it.
We're literally talking about either revealing future changes so that the company can potentially respond to issues presented before the expansion's release, at which point the player-base won't have the luxury of complaint in the rush to early progression -- best is best, no matter if only 1% of choices are now viable, and no matter the quality of life that state gives. Just because Blizzard may on rare occasion present ideas for testing, ask for feedback, and follow some of that feedback (however poorly), doesn't mean that SE would be cloning another MMO by doing the same, rather than making changes without concrete notice and saying that it's "too late to change things now" upon release.
I just don't even... what?

You know that actually, between FFXIV and WoW, it's the war. If something work on one, the other tries to copy it in a different way. Let's not talk about WoW's legendary weapons you need to upgrade like FFXIV's relics.
