question about pvp gear

hello i cant find the pvp section in these forums and its driving me nuts so feel free to move this thread, my question is does pvp gear matter for stats? because you get lv synced at ilv150 so i tought as long as your ilv is higher than this your stats will always be the same in pvp , but i dont get it i changed a few gears for glamour and lost about 2k hp even if i was higher than ilv150 befor getting synced , how does this work?

i was hoping that since everything gets synced to ilv150 you could wear whatever you want as long as your ilv is higher than 150 befor the sync but aparently im missing somthing.

The PvP item level sync works the same way as dungoen item level sync but PvP gear has a stat called Morale which boasts the other stats for PvP porposes only

Yes it does, assuming you play ninja by looking at what you have for main class, you want >ANY< gear that has the sub stats Crit and Det as that's BiS for ninja and has to be over i150. Make sure anything you buy off the MB is HQ and don't worry about morale. It does nothing outside the fold which nobody plays.

I looked up a perfect set for ninjas to pvp in, all have crit det starting from head to toe the accessories:

The face of the silver Wolf
Althyk's mail of scouting
Althyk's gauntlets of scouting
Belt of the falling dragon
Gaskin of the falling dragon
Gaiters of the falling dragon

Alexandrian earrings of aiming
Prototype midan neckband of aiming
Prototype gordian wristband of aiming
Primal ring of aiming

Weapons - alexandrian metal daggers, zurvanite points, anima weapon, gordian baselards, daggers of the heavens etc

Basically Anything with crit det.

I really hope they overhaul the PVP in the next expansion. All these restrictions on PVP gear for the majority of PVP content makes no sense. Morale does nothing in PVP, PVP Materia does nothing in PVP and the fact we have iLv.235 PVP gear that gets sync'd down to iLv.150 is also a head scratcher decision.

i see , so the stats matter , its just that the stat called moral is dead and not active? but the rest matters right?

Morale does nothing, pretend it doesn't even exist. Materia does nothing too.
