The New Chat Restriction in The Feast

Sure some are angry, but a lot of them are exactly the ones behind SE's reasoning for taking out the chat. You also should realize that a lot of people were for taking off the chat. And it doesn't create too much of a disadvantage when you have skills to say "Attack Healer" and target marks. We still have chat in the modes that are more needing of it (frontlines) Feast doesn't need it that much when it has those speech skills..its a pretty straightforward mode. A lot of people do pre-made parties w/ discord anyway if they are really into doing well. I understand what you're saying but both sides can't fully win on something like this, and I feel SE took a proper approach on it.

The ratio here has a massive disparity. 90% or more of the people I see in these threads defending the change, I have never seen in PvP in my life. What does that tell me? This change was not made with PvPers in mind, but for those that don't PvP and likely won't continue to PvP once the GARO event turns stale.

You can't completely base it on actually seeing them PvP though, considering the rng match-ups. I get your point though. I know there's probably people who don't even go to the forums to defend or disagree with this. Maybe SE will add an option for you to turn on/off normal pvp chat to appease both sides, like a que setting.

This isn't true. The PvP community is extremely tight knit and new players are like a ripple in a small pond. This new GARO event has brought an exception to this rule, but I already spoke on that in my previous post.

no chat in feast is completely a shit!! i hope someone on fan fest will shout it loudly to devs!
u just see ppl that clearly are doing terrible mistakes and u cant even say nothing...
but yoshi did u ever play feast with quick chat in a server that is not yours?
probably most top 100 players in ranked will stop play

I hope they will answer or hopefully land a fix to it before the PvP Tournment at Fan Festival, if not I think we can complain about it directly there XD

That would be awesome to have someone ask about it during live Q&A. Then they couldn't ignore it like they do the forums.

You could already do this before they even implemented the chat restriction though...

Right click chat window --> "Hide Chat Window"
