agreed. the rewards should be amazing. maybe they can put in a less brain dead alternative to the current WT at some point with actually good rewards for sync'd play.

But then WT still won't be helping new players with the content. If you had to do an EX ARR Primal synced, there is no way you would PUG it. It's asking for failure. WT would become "Run this with your static". There would be no point to this change.

What's the point now WT doesn't do anything really but benefit people doing wt. Any new player can get a mentor or two to help them face roll any of the old content, people where prob doing this before wt.

WT has made it easier to get groups to unsync a fight if you just want a quick clear, believe it or not. Use Coils as an example. If someone wants to clear Coils for the story, all they need to do is put up a PF for the turn and advertise their bonus for second chances.

I did coil with like three other people, for the story part , unless your just extremely anti social are in the wrong fc. Wt isnt even needed cause like you said you can get someone to do it fast an in a hurry, unsync, so to do it sync would make alot more sense for rewards.

Give guaranteed rewards for sync , otherwise there is no need for wt really other than for the person that wants the bonus from it , because players can easily get two people to run something unsync doesnt even need a full party thats why I dont even get why people put up full parties in party finder unsync. You dont even need 8 people to clear the content in most cases with the exception of a few instances. And for farming its better to have fewer people because its less times you have to spread the drops around, why someone would want 8 people to do a horse farm I dont get unless you plan on doing a fight all day long because of how horrible the drop rates are on some of the primals.

right I would never do WT with a pug group if it was synced content. Or I would just not do it. the rewards can never be good enough. unless one of them is the fire bird lol.

This argument happened around the launch of Heavensward as well regarding the ARR extreme primals and coil. This is just how MMOs work. The community naturally migrates to the new content and the only way to give newer players half a chance at reliably finding a group for the old content is the let them unsync it to catch up easily. If the old extreme content couldn't be unsynced then people simply wouldn't bother once the content was no longer relevant and newer players would find it nigh impossible to find anyone to do it.

There is no fix for this short of overhauling the entire design paradigm of MMOs.

There is an option to manually sync for old content for those that want it and that is enough.

One tank one healer and 6 dps PFs for nearly EVERYTHING that isn't Savage is very annoying atm if you play either of those two classes. "Then make your own PF!" I would but it wouldn't fill up if there's 4+ like mine needing 3-4+ DPS already.

thats how everything was at the end of ARR, cause of the ilevel powercreep this happened before HW came out and its nothing new

Thats not actually true. If there is a PF for SCOB T6-T9 I would normally ignore it, but if I have a WT entry that I can complete then I will join it. WT is extra incentive other than tome bonus

Im taking into account the nn at least on my server any of the old content, was able to be done unsync without an issue before wt came out cause I joined this summer so it wasnt an issue.
