



Not necessarily. If the improvements turn out successful, I see no reason they won't bump it up to 70 once Stormblood launches. They're already making a new PotD and Aquipolis.the most disheartening thing on the horizon is the new diadem in 3.55. they reworked the whole thing, and even when it is awesome now - 4.0 is just around the cornor. they can't tune it for lvl 70 because it's 3.0 content, so what's the point of the new diadem? it can be great and fun and all - but because it's coming so late in the patch cycle (only 3 months before 4.0), it will die out as quickly as the old diadem.




Except I don't think thats the point. We are getting more PotD in 4.0 because PotD was a success. By making a good diadem the devs can reuse the content in the future (maybe not 4.0, but definately in the future), and if not the devs have the knowledge of what the community enjoys and can use that moving forward. Oh and Diadem was a fail, hence the reason for the rework. (I kind of liked it but whatever)

Unsynced is great for getting through content where one doesn't really care about rewards or challenges, but just wants to get through it for story reasons (e.g. Coils of Bahamut) or to unlock something else (e.g. all the MSQ dungeons and trials).
But it should not give any rewards - no XP, gear, tomestones, nothing. Why give rewards for doing content in extra-simple mode?
Most content (not including Savage/Extreme) is fairly easy even in synced mode since the down-syncing algorithm makes high-end gear very good even when synced.





To give those, who spend 2 years not running those fights at the correct level, a reason to not only complete but farm the instance. When the devs incentivize more people to farm old content, more people are busy doing things during their game time and more people are less likely to feel like there is nothing to do. That is the reason those rewards are given in unsynced content. It solves the imbalance that skilled and motivated people have more content in their hands than those who won't step into harder content for whatever reasons.
When Stormblood hits and those who already got all birds are farming whatever new primals there are, other people will be farming birds. Both groups will have content to do and it's great.
Mind you, I'm not against giving exclusive achievements, titles, mounts or minions to those who complete a difficult fight in the same major patch it was released in, so that there is more reason to do the fights when they are out. I just think that having good incentives to go back to those fights more than once is healthy for the game as a whole. This incentive should be something that motivates those who were never motivated by the prestige, progression or item level in the first place, for example collectible mounts, glamour or crafting materials.

wonderous tales was such a good opportunity to have players learn and re-learn fights with great mechanics and skill-building concepts...but unsync ruins it. its not fun.


The rewards for WT would have to be super freaking amazing, and NOT tied to RNG whatsoever to make me want to do Titan Ex synced again.
I don't even think that would make me want to do it.
I would like them to do some sort of raid , primal roulette, just like they do with the trails now, people dont have to use it , its not like people use every feature in the game as is like me I never run the msq roulette. Mostly because I dont wana partake in people having to skip important cut scenes but thats a whole different thing, but I mean its not like we have 200 of these things.
We have like 10 plus primals just throw them in a roulette or something this is good content and the feeling you get from finishing a primal as oppose to doing a level 15 dungeon or something makes you feel like youve done something. I think as its happened to me before did shiva extreme unsync and got the horse drop on the first attempt, well I went back just to do the fight sync so until I earned the horse. I really dont believe that people deserve these mounts if they didnt earn them, its plenty of other mounts you can get from moggle quest, and the likes you dont deserve a horse or a bird if you cant even clear the content at least once in my opinion. Its plenty of things everyone can have like gear housing etc so its not being unfair, but to get a mount from a primal the requirement should be at least one sync clear then you can unsync and get it until it drops.


agreed. the rewards should be amazing. maybe they can put in a less brain dead alternative to the current WT at some point with actually good rewards for sync'd play.
I hate titan to but maybe they could do something like if you have the horse already or bird they could create barding or something for each mount that you can only get through sync clears. Are maybe you get so many extra sripts or something for a clear, I honestly believe that if these fights wernt mostly done unsync by the community that the player base would be alot better.
