I don't want to sound like a douche here, but that's just plain bad FC management.

Any good FC today should at least have a Discord Channel for itself, even better, you can have the discord server, and have FC branch specifics chats, channels, everything.

I'd like to address what some people have replied with on this topic and then give my own input on this topic.

Linkshells and reorganizing: I'd like to state this is literally what we have and it's just not that great. I end up having to constantly relay things to three different linkshells all just to communicate with people who want to be a part of my own free company, which can get rather annoying sometimes.

Discord and bad FC Management: It really isn't bad FC management. It's just people wanting to be a part of my Free Company because we have a good reputation, but this is the only solution we have since we are at the maximum amount of people. I also saw recently the pains that trying to help someone get onto a Discord server if they're super confused and/or frustrated. There's always going to be people who will have issues getting onto some sort of server like this, and I personally do not want to end up having them miss out because they're having issues with their setup. If one were to look through the forums, they would note that employees of Square Enix have gone on record with saying that the players would get a Free Company Alliance chat, but it never happened. It's something that I think would be beneficial, even for Free Companies not like yoshinoharu's and my own. It gives people who might be in different Free Companies a way to come together and possibly share many things, including stories of what they're doing or pooling together resources to do things that they may not be able to already. I don't see a reason why we should have to work together outside of the game through something like a Discord for something that Square already promised, and I think that before people disregard it, they should let Square implement it, give it a try with another Free Company, and see how it goes. No one is forced to use this chat, but it can be super beneficial to the community if people are willing to let Square implement it like they said they would. (2/2)
