I've been running into some BRDs who play Mage's Ballad or Army's Paeon as soon as the instance starts.. and it makes me wonder why..

Had one of those in a Leveling Roulette a day or so ago. They had a leaf icon so I thought maybe they just didn't understand how the songs work because of being new - so I let them know, quite politely, "Hey, you should turn off Mage's Ballad, it cuts your damage in half and the healer doesn't need it right now". Did they? Lolnope. The only time I saw them legitimately stop using Ballad is on bosses, and probably only because they were distracted with getting hit by like everything. Soon as we got back to regular mobs? Ballad went up while healer was at full MP. As a former BRD main, that was irritating the crap out of me - more so because I was having to basically carry that guy's butt as the other dps.

The healer was also bad, would stand around doing nothing and/or spam Cure on my tank friend the moment they got a 1hp scratch... but at least they weren't gimping their damage and legitimately ignoring advice.

Not DF, but PF can be close enough as it is. Someone joins A1S light farm as DPS and switches to tank. By itself? Not a big deal. But they weren't very good and it and were obnoxious and mouthy. Didn't use cooldowns while tanking, didn't properly cluster mobs. Seemed dumbfounded during a random wipe to self-destruct (ok, it happens sometimes) and yet wouldn't actually tank the Oppressors in such a way that big finishing AoEs would hit both at the same time. There were two summoners and a black mage in party and the tank's standing in the middle and keeping them as far apart as possible.

Zvara ex pf. 1 tank 2heals 3 smns blm and me a bard. "Cool battle foe, we'll skip soar for sure..." nuuuup. One of the smns was sooooo bad. Not only did he kill us 5 times or so by messing up the stack and moves but his opener was pathetic enough to undermine everyone else. Energy drain x3. Dreadwyrm. Painflair. Ruin 3 till ooom then he'd pop raging strikes. Sitting there oom.

Ex roulette, Sohm Al HM. WAR, AST, BLM, me (BRD). Seems like a good comp, right?
BLM is in mostly i260 stuff aaaand proceeds to use single target spells the entire dungeon. Even with Foe's as much as possible, stuff was taking forever to die.

Was doing Frontlines to get the new mount they added.

I go as AST and I loaded into a match with another AST also there. 20 seconds left of the battle start timer and I asked which sect they were going to use (so I could use the opposite one) and no response.

Battle starts and this AST still hasn't chosen a sect so after we claim our base I ask again. Zero response.

So I give up and pick my sect and we go through the entire match to our 3rd place loss with this AST with no sect on the entire time lol

They were wearing the battle mentor tag as well lol.....made me so sad and seriously just massive facepalm.

How do you go a whole 15 mins healing something and not notice your spells have no added effects and you can't even use Collective :/

I'm currently working on leveling a pugilist into MNK. I get into the leveling roulette and end up with 3 leafs. Not that I mind, I enjoy helping new players. We start off and things are going pretty well until I notice that I keep getting attacked by the trash. I start watching the tank and notice that he is only flashing once and keeping locked on a single target instead of changing targets periodically. I was also attacking his target. Our healer is able to handle it so its not a super big deal but still I politely say "Hey dude, the reason I'm pulling off you is because you aren't generating enough aggro. If you flash maybe 2 or three times and switch targets you might have an easier time". His response: "No, you need to attack less. I know what I'm doing so shut up.".....I....What?.... The rest of our group proceeded to chew him out a bit until he unwillingly took the advice. Geeez.

I just had a 6 bards 2 healers party from frontline.. We were 4 bards at start, then someone made a joke about "moar bard".. 2 others joined us holding the harp.. The result seems to be on our side.. We won with the enemies having 200 lower point than us.

I was in PotD with three other friends helping one of them to level up their astrologian and get to the 50th floor. We were having fun, making jokes and having a good! And then around the 40 something floor when one of my friends changed into the rage mode monster to clear a away mobs, as I was collecting treasure chests while they were mowing down a clustered room full of monsters, right when they smacked and killed the third to last mob monster, either they or one of my other friends who was tailing him a few steps away stepped on a landmine and blew them both up. Though thankfully they managed to survive the blastt with a sliver of hp, right when my monster-steined friend kills the last mob monster, either they or the same friend right by him steps on another mine literally only barely a few seconds after the first one and they both get balsted sky high and die.

I wanted to laugh so hard when the second one went off, but tried to keep myself focused on the dungeon because what are the odds of that ever happening? And after that all my friends, including the ones that got that stuffing blown out of them asked what the heck happened and started laughing! This will always be one of my favorite memories of PotD and I seriously hope I get the chance to see something like this happen again with my friends! X'D
