GL with your paid head start, I think I'll enjoy it more when 2.0 comes out, maybe even create a new account just to get the full enjoyment of how the game was suppose to be. Okay I'm lying about making a new account, but I am saving some class so I can level when 2.0 comes out.

To be honest, that's one of my biggest concerns: a big loss of the players community. Nobody likes to play in a "private" server with desert cities and empty fields.

I wouldn't let it concern you too much. I won't say we aren't losing anyone, but the people leaving are the minority. Plus, we can't speak for the people who don't use the forum.

Nearly my entire LS is staying as well as many other friends who have their own shells. I'm not going to feel the impact that badly, and I don't think most people are either.

The 1k people that are on here are like 5% of the Total FFXIV population... and 75% of them on here are staying, so I wouldn't worry to mush on people leaving.. they stay here this long because they like the game, not because its F2P for a Year

most forum goers are either hardcore fans, people who just like to hang in forums(like me) or people who have an extreme beef with the game(mostly this)
this holds true for most forums in most games

I agree, so In conclusion people will leave that game for Various reasons, But I really don't see a lot of people leaving, Its always the 5-10 people that are sprouting Doomsday for the Game when the Game holds ALOT more then that :P. They think they run the Game! haha

Yep, This^ We had one person on the fence but he is turning around and saying he is going to stay. And most people I talk to in game say the same about their shells. I wouldn't let the tantrums here worry you.
