As this event is in fact temporary are there plans to make the gear storeable in the Armoire or buyable from the Calamity Salvager?
The achievements encourage aiming to collect every set but it isn't practical to keep them with XIV's inventory issues.

It's lasting past 4.0, remember? We'll be getting armory expansion in 4.0.

If you can't keep them until then, you should probably endeavor to put them in retainers or wait to stockpile until post-4.0.
