I will say I think the tether+meteor mechanic is far too hard for a group of randoms.

Well I cant say that for the 2.0 primals, but in 3.0 the only EX primal where ppl tried to troll was Nidhogg. Took me two weeks to get a clear back then. All other Primals were fine (But they aren't now lol). Even in the duty finder while queueing mentor roulette the success rate of new players is okay except Ramuh and Ifrit.

And you are right, the meteor tether mechanic is something you can't approach with random people without the ability to communicate

I've mastered tanking and DPS(off tank) in this fight in about 2 hours. I started playing last month and I see people with all level 60's which can not dodge the Southern Cross reliably. I don't like statics, just wish I could find a guild with good players(mine is super casual). It's the reason why I quit the game two times already(this is my third fresh start). You just can't progress alone, you need 7 other who are good players, but all I find is the idiot glamour people.

I've mastered tanking and DPS(off tank) in this fight in about 2 hours. I started playing last month and I see people with all level 60's which can not dodge the Southern Cross reliably. I don't like statics, just wish I could find a guild with good players(mine is super casual). It's the reason why I quit the game two times already(this is my third fresh start). You just can't progress alone, you need 7 other who are good players, but all I find is the idiot glamour people.

Again this is only day 2 of the patch and still a work day for most people. I haven't done much with any of the new content as of yet simply because I haven't had the chance to get on for long enough to even run the new dungeons let alone anything else. Give it at least a week or in the very least a weekend for people to have the chance to experience and learn the new content.

Expecting everyone to perform against every mechanic perfectly and expecting everyone to do the same you have, which is pour 16 hours into the fight practicing the mechanics on the first fucking day, is quite simply ludicrous and dare I say it, stupid. I honestly think it's elitists like you that ruin the game, not the other way around. It boggles my mind that people expect the duty finder to magically pair them with A+ players who know the fight in and out (on the first day lol) and expect the fight to go perfectly, and if it doesn't they call everyone bad players. You are probably the guy who ruins it for everyone by vote abandoning every time the party wipes and just making the process longer and more excrutiating for everyone. It is the maximum difficulty version of the fight after all. And you are seriously getting angry that it might take a few tries for people to get the mechanics down? ON THE FIRST DAY???

I thought extreme difficulty fights in this game were meant to take a few times. And gee, I dunno, I thought this game was designed towards people, ya know, working together to overcome obstacles like this when it's fresh and new and no one knows mechanics yet. If it pisses you off that bad and everyone sucks so much, just go be god player by yourself in a single player game! Then you don't have to deal with people at all! You sound like the type of person that shouldn't interact with people honestly.

The OP's post is not so black and white. He's referring to the failure to grasp simple mechanics. He isn't demanding top tier perfection.

BRAINDEAD SIMPLE mechanics, and other bare bones player ability required is simply non existent with the players of this game. Zurvan as a fight is incredibly boring and easy, and I initially thought that SE tuned it too low. How wrong I was. This is the perfect difficulty for the mass of players. Have to move 3 feet? Die. Have to run to center and stack? Die. Have to AOE a few mobs? Die.

Take Southern Cross, for instance; it's literally "stack and move away after it's done casting." (Or "don't walk into where people were after it finishes casting", if you have decent spatial memory)
It's not a cognitively challenging mechanic, and it's quite similar to other mechanics seen in previous fights. (e.g. Meteorain in Thordan, Yesod in Sephirot, Weights in Titan)

I think what you both (and many others in this thread) have completely missed is that OP was setting up their own party finders that were clearly labeled as "CLEAR PARTY, KNOW MECHANICS BEFORE YOU JOIN". No one is expecting everyone to know a fight on the first day. No one is expecting people to be perfect and never make a mistake. What OP and others who have been labeled as 'elitists' are hoping for is that people join parties that are commensurate with their experience level in a fight. If you've never been in Zurvan EX before, don't join a clear or a farm party and then fail every mechanic. If OP had posted their own party find and labeled it as "Learning/Progression" in the comments and then came on to complain about the player base then your comments would be appropriate.

No his/her summary is simply "Join parties that are appropriate for your skill level in a specific fight". If you've never been in don't join a clearly labeled clear or farm party.

They enjoy the game in different ways than you do, that doesn't make them idiots.

Who cares if the majority of the playerbase isn't as skilled as you? The point of the game (any game) is to have fun and enjoy yourself.
For some people, that means killing bosses. For other people, it means collecting minions, or decorating their house, or crafting.
You aren't better than someone else because you are better in a specific area of the game than they are.

If you aren't willing to treat others with respect, regardless of how good they are at a video game, I would suggest finding a group of like-minded players (like a static) and get your boss kills exclusively with those people.
If that isn't possible for you for whatever reason, readjust your attitude.

Starts playing Dec 2016...claims to have mastered the game mechanics (off-tanking mechanics LOL, that cracked me up), and the majority of the people that play with him is garbage..Some of wich have much more experience than him.

Im not the best dps, hell, im still learning...But even i can progress realy smoothly by asking adivce, instead of acting like a shity elitis, you should try it sometime.
