Don't like the new button layouts, the extra gaps between buttons on the vertical bar

I like these extra gaps removed or settings back to how it was in 3.4. Why fix something that is not broke? now the bars are too big and I need to use extra small setting to get around it.

I thought something was weird. Guess I didn't notice it in the patch notes, but yeah. Vertical bar was perfect for my screen height, and now it isn't. I had to move things around, and I've got less space now.

So... you're saying that they screwed with player's UIs (which a great many people will spend hours getting pixel-perfect) to fix the pesky visibility issues that all of us already using the vertical hotbars didn't actually have in the first place?

My screen isn't big enough for this, now I can't use them anymore!
I'm kind of desperate, can only use 7 of the slots each bar provides now, or it goes over the edge of my screen and I can't see it anymore (yes, I play on laptop).
I don't understand why they did this. Why not add an optional setting that enlarges icons+space between icons for those playing with a very high definition and on a big TV screen,
instead of messing up everyone's UI needlessly, to the point where half of the hotbars become unsuable for some players?

there is an extra small setting I am using for 2 bars to make it fit, I hope they do reverse this

I already use the smallest size, but for abilities i dont actually want to see on my bar, there is no size smaller ; ;
